Meet the Team
FY Camp is a small, independent, family-run business managed by sisters Sarah and Rachel. With a dedicated team of local, fabulous people and family members, the campsite has organically evolved on their family home and land, which their parents bought as a smallholding over 20 years ago. Matt, another key figure, built the first bender tent several years ago from locally coppiced hazel, now the beautiful Wren’s Nest. The warehouse, known as “the coolest warehouse in the East” by the Most Curious Wedding Fair, came later, adding a trendy touch to the venue.
Recognition and Sustainability
FY Camp has been featured in numerous publications, including The Guardian, The Independent, Wedding Ideas Magazine, Rock & Roll Bride, the EDP, Time Out London, The Sunday Telegraph, Rock My Wedding, and Coco Wedding Venues. The venue is celebrated for its commitment to sustainability and eco-friendly practices. FY Camp champions a no-single-use plastic policy and ethical bar practices, including sober weddings and celebrations.
Planning and Extras
FY Camp aims to make your wedding planning as smooth as possible. While the venue provides essential facilities, couples need to book a celebrant or registrar to perform the ceremony and handle legal duties.
Catering arrangements are also a key consideration. Other frequent extras include draping, chair or prop hire, photographers, videographers, DJs or bands, florists, and outdoor features or activities. FY Camp’s team is ready to assist you in sourcing and coordinating these additional services to bring your vision to life.

The Cherry Barn is licensed for weddings, but for those wanting a religious ceremony, the Norman church of St Peter and St Paul in Peasmarsh is only a short stroll away. The Cherry Barn has drop-off points for those needing easy venue access. It also has accessible toilets, double doors, and same-level/no-stair spaces.
The Setting
The Cornish Place is a 26-acre Victorian Dairy Farm located between Truro and Falmouth, down the tree-lined West Cornwall lanes.
It has 11 fields of lush pasture and wildflower meadows, many of which guests can enjoy. The play field is largely level for an impromptu kick-around, and the picnic field (complete with rugs and blankets) has views for miles. The dog-walking field is for your four-legged friends. With its endless views of open countryside, this rural location off the beaten track means true peace, fresh air, and tranquillity.
The Cornish Place is situated perfectly between the north and south coasts-only 7 miles to either-meaning it’s an easy trip with your photographer for those all-important Cornish beach photos. But with beautiful fields, a magical bluebell wood opposite, and a stunning courtyard, there is no need to leave for your entire stay.
The Vibe
Elopements and Intimate Weddings
Weddings at The Cornish Place can be just for two, with guests staying in The Barn for an elopement ceremony with witnesses provided, or up to 20 sleeping 16 onsite, with recommendations for local accommodation for a few extras.
Your Ceremony
The Woodshed, with its old beams and log piles, is a popular ceremony venue for a rustic wedding. However, in cooler months, it can be chilly, so the Piggery, with its huge picture window looking out onto the surrounding countryside, can be used for a more contemporary feel.
There are also eight licensed outdoor ceremony spaces, from the beautiful courtyard to the Barn Garden or maybe the top of the hill with stunning views across the rolling hills. Every wedding can be unique, and your wedding coordinator will hold your hand throughout to create a truly personalised celebration.
The ceremony areas are small, so they are perfect for an intimate, relaxed celebration.
Accommodation
As the accommodation is across three cottages, guests can all enjoy their own spaces with private gardens and hot tubs, all coming together in the communal areas to celebrate their special day. The three cottages are all luxurious with woodburning stoves, woodfired hot tubs, fire pits and barbecues with an unlimited supply of firewood. This is not your run-of-the-mill self-catering accommodation, as the cottages come with state-of-the-art appliances, rainfall showers and the most comfortable beds in the world. Dogs are very welcome to be part of your celebrations.
Weddings here are relaxed affairs – having your guests stay onsite in the cottages reduces stress levels and means everyone can help make the whole stay memorable. The owners live onsite and can help curate your entire stay with suggestions for day trips and help sourcing local produce for barbecues and pizza nights. What makes it unique is that guests can self-cater as much or as little as they like – there are as few rules as possible, and you can make your wedding unique with the help of an experienced wedding coordinator.
The Paddock bar and outdoor kitchen are available for guests-stocked with Cornish tipples-or for staffed dry hire on your wedding day.
Sustainability
The Cornish Place is situated in a very peaceful spot, so although they enjoy a party, celebrations here aren’t wild affairs, and outdoor noise must stop by midnight. The emphasis here is sustainable tourism, so the owners will help you do everything possible to minimise the environmental impact of your big day – you will be given a tree to plant here as a memory of your day, which you can continue to visit for years to come! All the cottages are heated with air-source heat pumps and renewable energy, and water comes UV-treated from our borehole with no nasty chemicals.
The Setting
Sitting on the hill above Bowness on Windermere, Lindeth Fell is handily placed and easy to reach —but it is utterly secluded and private. It feels a million miles from anywhere and is equally peaceful and quiet.
Located in the heart of the South Lake District, Lindeth is 30 minutes from J36 on the M6 via dual carriageway and then country A roads to the entrance. There is private, off-road, free parking.
It is 10 minutes by taxi from Windermere Station, which has four short scenic stops on the Oxenholme West Coast Mainline between London Euston and Manchester Airport.
Once at Lindeth Fell, it is easy to explore the spectacular Lake District National Park, which sits in the heart of the lakes above England’s largest lake, Windermere.
The village of Bowness on Windermere is a few minutes away on foot and by car – with its assortment of shops and cafes and Windermere Lake Cruises on the Glebe (including hire of private electric boats or rowing boats) for trips around the lake. An extended 20-minute walk to Bowness takes part of the lakeshore itself, leading to the shops and bars in Bowness—the primary bus services through the central lakes run from here, too.
There are nearby walks, meaning you don’t have to use the car to explore. The local fell, Ghyll Head, has sweeping views along Lake Windermere and the surrounding mountains.
The Vibe
The Edwardian Arts & Crafts House and beautifully mature contemporary gardens offer a relaxing and luxurious environment. Refurbished in 2024, the new and stylish interiors enhance the setting. As a 5-star Luxury B&B, it offers more than expected, with a bar and restaurant, plus all-day dining menus—with a lounge and library for guest use. The garden terraces come into their own in Summer, extending the spaces for outdoor living.
Lindeth is set back into woodland, opening out into swathes of garden terraces and lawns that gently cascade down the hill. All you see are lush gardens, glimpses of Lake Windermere, and out over the West shoreline to the Coniston mountain range.
The House & Grounds
Lindeth Fell has a luxurious ‘Secret Garden’ vibe. It is a dreamily romantic property. Built-in 1909 as a holiday home, it retains that sense of leisurely Edwardian relaxed elegance that embraces you on arrival. Even though it is on the outskirts of Bowness on Windermere, it is completely private and secluded, overlooked by no one and peacefully quiet. In turn, the beautiful views take glimpses of the tree-fringed lake and Claife Heights and over to the Coniston mountains. It is a small Country House of comfortable and relaxed proportions, with 7 acres of private gardens.
The house and garden are contemporary to each other and remain unspoilt; the Thomas Mawson-designed garden has had over 100 years to mature beautifully. Lushly planted terraces and almost tree-sized multicoloured rhododendrons launch Springtime in spectacular style – and the gardens continue to bloom for months. The terraces wrap around the ground floor and face the views – extending the interiors outdoors when sunny, creating more living space for drinks and dining.
Your Ceremony
There are four licensed ceremony spaces, two indoors and two outdoors. All are suitable for Exclusive Use ceremonies for up to 26 friends and family or Just-for-Two elopements.
Inside, the options are the Wedgewood blue lounge and stylish library on the ground floor and outdoors on the lawns or by the lily pond in the gardens.
Food & Drink
For your Wedding Day celebrations, there is a choice of menu and dining options, from Champagne and Canapés (or drinks of choice), a three-course sit-down Wedding Breakfast, informal barbeque, or evening menu. These can be served on the terraces (weather permitting), in the bar, or in the West-facing restaurant.
Accommodation
Currently, Lindeth Fell has 14 bedrooms, two of which are single occupancy. All bedrooms are ensuite, and while the ground floor is wheelchair accessible and suitable for guests with limited mobility, one large ground-floor bedroom is also accessible.
The Team
Think of Lindeth Fell as your dream home away from home, with a dedicated and experienced team on-site to help you create and deliver your perfect day. Between them, they bring a wealth of experience from other leading Lake District establishments, and you’ll be in very safe hands. If you are looking for an intimate and beautiful wedding venue that will work with you through your plans to deliver your perfect memorable day, Lindeth Fell is the venue for you.
The Setting
In a picture-perfect setting, within its own grounds and with views across Nidderdale, Grassfield Hall is a historic home lovingly restored by its owners. When they host your wedding, they want you to feel like it’s your home.
The Vibe
The historical hall’s interior is a mix of modern and traditional and needs little styling for your wedding, as the Hall speaks for itself. Although the house is grand and elegant, it has a homely feel, encouraging guests to relax and enjoy every precious moment.
What sets the Hall apart is the passion and love put into every wedding. They choose to host only a handful of intimate weddings every year, allowing the owner and her team to provide an on-the-day coordinator who takes care of every small detail. This ensures that every couple receives the care and attention they deserve, making them feel truly important.
