Craigard at Carrick Castle Estate

We stayed here at the very beginning of this year (2024).

What an incredible property. You feel so special coming in through the door; the interior is stunning. It is the perfect place to take life slow and enjoy looking out onto cold, frosty mornings with a hot drink. Hannah, one of the hosts, is so thoughtful, and everything is there for you to arrive: tea (different types), coffee pods (yes, a coffee machine), sugar, and all the utensils you could need to cook your favourite meals.

We stayed two nights as a party of six adults and four children. There were board games, a pool, and a hot tub; I even tried to play the piano again. The kids enjoyed it so much. Hannah and Darius are fantastic hosts! The kids played hide-and-seek in the house, with lots of awesome hiding places. The kids nicknamed the house ‘The Harry Potter House’. It had beautiful features but also a gorgeous modern kitchen extension. Darius and Hannah had robes, slippers and towels at the ready, and just the thought and care they provided for us was second to none.

We are looking forward to returning and couldn’t recommend this place enough. Thank you, Hannah, Darius and the boys! I look forward to seeing you again.

With incredible views, a hot tub to sit in and gaze at the stars, super comfortable rooms, and everything you could wish for in the kitchen, this is the perfect place for any celebration. The dramatic dining room was the perfect backdrop for a large family lunch. We enjoyed exploring the area and garden over the weekend, simply sitting in the house, taking in the views, and watching the weather fronts roll in. We really didn’t want to leave! Highly recommended.

Craigard is the most stunning venue in a truly beautiful location, and we could not imagine getting married anywhere else. The home is warm and inviting and was the perfect spot to spend a weekend with our nearest and dearest celebrating. The venue has everything and more you could need, including gorgeous views, which made relaxing in the hot tub even more special! We can’t praise this venue and the team at Carrick Castle Estate enough.
