The Canonbury Tavern

I don’t really know where to start but with a massive thank you. We held our wedding reception in The Canonbury Tavern on the 7th September with a good 55 Guests. We always knew The Canonbury was ideal for us and from the beginning everything went smoothly – considering I was a bit of a panicky Bride. On the day itself everything went like clockwork and both John and myself could relax, enjoy the day and the everyone raved about the food. A big thank you to Sandra and Justine for all the hard work and most of all for all the staff members having a smile on their face. When we reviewed the day – we both said we wouldn’t change one thing. A perfect event. We will be back.

This pub always exceeds expectations! My wife and I decided to return to the pub where we held our wedding the year before… The Canonbury is by far the best pub we have visited in London and as Londoners we know our pubs. The Canonbury had invited us back for our anniversary meal so we could reminisce on our special day! From beginning to end the service and personalised welcoming experience was amazing and meant a huge amount to us! We would like to thank Ben – our server and Sandra for welcoming us and letting us relive memories of our perfect day with them. We will always recommend this pub to anyone visiting London!

The garden is brilliant. The staff were brilliant on the day but also when we started organising everything. Sandra was very flexible and to the point with everything we needed to organise before the event. Very helpful and proactive staff, they made sure everything ran smoothly. Overall a really nice experience for the occasion.

We held our wedding reception at the Canonbury Tavern in December 2019 and couldn’t have chosen a better venue. From start to finish the team were very friendly, helpful and obviously knew their stuff. On the day although we provided the decorations, the team made the restaurant look magical, the food was excellent and the service was exceptional. Thank you to Sandra, Martin and the team but particular thanks to Justine who looked after us as if we were her own family. She was very professional, extremely attentive and nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend this venue to anyone. Thank you again for making our special day so relaxed and enjoyable.

We held our wedding breakfast here in December 2019 and cannot express how happy we were with everything. Sandra and her team were so professional, warm and organised. They completely relaxed us throughout the whole process and were so accommodating to what we wanted. They help you decorate the space and helped us so much. The food was also super – and they sorted mulled wine and everything! We are so thankful we came to the Canonbury, it meant for a lot less stress. We had so many compliments for our choice of venue and I can’t recommend it enough.
