I just wanted to say that you, Laura and the whole team at the Great House honestly made my and Mat’s Wedding on Saturday – it was incredible for us. 

We are so happy, and I just wanted to thank you to all of you. 

Please pass this on to the relevant managers as you and Laura made the whole process so relaxed and organised and could not have done any more for us both. So I hope you get some form of praise from this, as you both are incredible and an asset to the Great House! 

We are very grateful! 

We will be back to celebrate our 1st anniversary (if not before then) .

Amazing Time!

Just a quick email to say thanks to you and all the team at The Great House for helping to make our wedding day so special. We had an amazing time and have memories we’ll cherish forever.

Kate and her colleagues were superb at making sure things flowed smoothly and constantly checked that we were OK throughout the day. They are a credit to the business. Thanks again for everything.

We had the MOST AMAZING DAY!

Right from the first phone call I made to you, through to after the wedding, you were always super friendly, super efficient and passionate about everything detail we discussed. Nothing was ever too much trouble.

Every supplier I spoke to, spoke so highly about Corrina and I couldn’t agree more with them. She is an asset to The Great House and we couldn’t have wished for anyone else to help plan our wedding day. You made the whole experience enjoyable and as stress-free as it can be.

The day itself was truly magical, which we also thank Kate and the team for too. A special thanks to Kate for ensuring our special day run like clockwork and for bringing a fun and a relaxed feel to the lead up and on the day. Exactly what we needed.

THANK YOU once again from both of us.

I just want to say a massive thank you to you and the team for making mine and Ray’s day on Friday such a wonderful experience. Everyone had nothing but good things to say and enjoyed every moment and a lot of that is to do with the help and support we had from the team. Izzy was brilliant, I am so pleased we chose The Great House to help host our special day. We will be back!!

Hi Charlie and Emily,

We just wanted to reach out to both of you to say a massive thank you for all your hard work in providing us with the most perfect day.

It was a really smooth process to get everything planned in, and Charlie, you were so helpful with sorting all the small details and helped keep me worry-free in the planning! The handover to Emily was very easy, and the day ran perfectly.

We know there were last minute changes with the table decorations but you managed to sort this all perfectly and the room looked fantastic, the food was delicious and we have had so compliments on the food and the sharing format so please pass this onto the catering team. The winter pimms also worked out so well, especially on a chilly day!

All the staff on the day were very attentive and helpful, and helped the day run so well.

A massive thank you again to you both, it was absolutely perfect and we couldn’t have wished for anything more.

Married November 2024

We got married at The Great House in December 2024, and the day was perfect! This beautiful hotel provided us with the perfect backdrop to our special day and accommodated all of our needs for our Winter wedding. The one function suite provided us with the ceremony room, then with a quick change, was our dining hall for our wedding breakfast, and then quickly turned around again for the evening party. The room is so classic and stylish, we didn’t feel the need to decorate it, other than providing a few lanterns/candles for the tables. No flowers or greenery (which saved us a small fortune), although we were lucky enough to have a Christmas tree and garlands in the room, provided by the venue.

Our planning stages were managed with enthusiasm and professionalism throughout the year’s planning, and nothing felt too much trouble. We always received quick responses to any queries, and the events team that managed the day and evening were also amazing. Again, nothing felt like too much trouble.

I stayed at the hotel for two nights, and this was also a delight. The room was very well equipped with everything you need (kettle, iron, toiletries, robes, etc), including lovely little touches like a full-size fridge, fresh milk, complimentary water, etc . Our room even had an old record player, which we really enjoyed playing. We felt really well looked after, and the evening in the Coppa Club the night before the wedding was also really lovely. Breakfast, which can be included with the room bookings, was also a highlight for us and everyone who stayed for the wedding.

Special mention to Charlie in the wedding team, who helped plan the day and then to Claire in the events team, who managed the day for us. It really was the most special day, and I cannot thank you enough (especially Claire, who looked after my very nervous husband on the day, and I will be forever grateful).

Married December 2024

Our wedding at The Great House was absolutely incredible, and I would highly recommend the venue!

There are no words to really explain how fabulous the staff were in the lead up to our wedding and throughout the day.

Firstly, Natalie, who helped me plan the day and made sure we were able to include all the details we wanted to make our day extra special and perfect. Natalie was absolutely amazing, very efficient – always getting back to me so quickly and always had the answers! She was so incredibly friendly and easy-going, exactly what we needed.

Jen coordinated the entire day and did the most incredible job! The day would not have been the same without her. Everything ran like clockwork, nothing went wrong – not that I was aware of anyway! It was utter perfection. Jen made sure our special day was just perfection!

Clare, who managed the catering staff, was so fabulous! She did a great job in managing it all; nothing was too much, and she was just so effective and super friendly!

Last but not least, the food! It was delicious. I also have to make a special mention of how well they catered for allergies and special dietary requirements. My little girl has several allergies, and they managed them all so well.

I can’t thank everyone who worked so hard to bring it all together enough. We will never ever forget it! What a beautiful venue with absolutely incredible staff! Thank you all so much!
