The house offers exclusive use, allowing couples and their guests to relax and enjoy the day in complete privacy. Reception spaces flow seamlessly from the historic interiors to the surrounding gardens and woodland, creating a warm and romantic atmosphere for dining, speeches, and evening celebrations. With exceptional food, attentive service, and the timeless charm of the house, Cloughjordan House offers a memorable, personal setting for a wedding reception that will be cherished by all.

Accommodation

Cloughjordan House has a variety of colourful accommodation options for guests. They have transformed a large dairy farm into a beautiful wedding venue. The outbuildings have been converted into accommodation.

The old milking shed now houses 4 bedrooms; the cowshed has 18 rooms; the coach house has 2 bedrooms; and the beautiful French-style manor house has 8 exquisitely decorated bedrooms. They have also added 11 glamping pods, bringing the on-site capacity to approximately 90 guests. The attention to detail ensures each finished room has its own personality and flair, giving every lodger a unique experience of the venue.

In addition to the onsite accommodation, located in Cloughjordan village, a short 3-minute drive from Cloughjordan House, is The Distillery, a 4-bed cottage, newly renovated with the signature Cloughjordan House style.

Additional accommodation options are available in Cloughjordan village and further afield.

Food & Drink

Food is at the heart of everything they do in CJH. Cloughjordan House began as a cookery school and remained operational in that capacity until recent years. They grow their organic vegetables in the walled kitchen garden and also keep their own pigs and hens. At Cloughjordan House, they place great emphasis on using the highest quality, locally sourced ingredients.

With seasonal, ever-changing menus and highly flexible hosts, each couple CJH welcomes receives something different from the last. The ethos is to create simple, elegant, great-tasting food that brings groups together through colourful platters and wooden boards. The dishes become a focal point, encouraging guests to engage, discuss, laugh, and enjoy the culinary experience. Local, fresh produce is vital to building a wholesome menu that bursts with flavour.

Sustainability

Cloughjordan House is committed to sustainability in every facet of the business, with every team member playing their part. From Michelle in the garden, who enables the team to grow their own vegetables, fruit, herbs and flowers, to Jimmy, head of maintenance, who continually finds inventive ways to reuse materials across the venue, sustainability is woven into daily life. CJH focuses on reducing its environmental impact through greater energy efficiency and by minimising waste, packaging and water use.

Much of this begins in the gardens. Vegetables, herbs, and edible flowers are grown on site in three 60-foot polytunnels, inspiring seasonal wedding menus while reducing transport emissions-the journey from garden to kitchen is just 200 metres. The gardens follow organic growing practices, and fruit from the apple, pear and fig trees is turned into house-made chutneys and jams. Soft fruits such as raspberries, currants, loganberries and gooseberries feature in wedding dishes or are preserved for later use, while elderflowers and elderberries are foraged from the hedgerows to create truly seasonal recipes. Any excess produce is sold in the farm shop or shared with staff, ensuring as little as possible goes to waste.

Local Area

Cloughjordan House is located in the village of Cloughjordan, which gets its name from the house. Just a short stroll from Cloughjordan House, Cloughjordan is a beautiful village known for its strong sense of community and commitment to sustainability. It is home to the Cloughjordan Eco Village, an innovative project focused on environmentally friendly living and renewable energy. The village has a rich history, traditional shops and cafés, and good transport links, including a railway station. Cloughjordan combines rural charm with modern ideas, making it a unique and welcoming place to live and visit.

Getting There

Just 90 minutes from Dublin and 40 minutes from Limerick, Cloughjordan House is a totally unique wedding destination.

There is a train station located in the village of Cloughjordan. Cloughjordan House provides couples with a list of transport options, whether they are looking to organise shuttle buses from the airport or to the local town.
