Set on a headland above Lligwy Bay, The Anglesey Barn commands wide, open views across the Irish Sea. The landscape does much of the work here: shifting skies, rolling waves, and long coastal horizons that change character throughout the day. Purpose-built to make the most of its position, the Dutch barn structure sits at the heart of the site, with floor-to-ceiling glazing drawing the outside in. Outdoor spaces flow naturally from the barn, from the lawn to the roof terrace, all oriented towards the sea. It feels open and expansive without losing a sense of privacy, making it well-suited to couples who want a strong connection to place and a setting that carries the atmosphere without needing excess styling.
The entire venue, including its outdoor areas, is fully licensed, giving you flexibility over how and where you choose to marry. Ceremonies can take place on the roof terrace, where a retractable roof provides an open-air feel when open and protection when needed. The front lawn provides another outdoor option, with the sound and movement of the sea forming a natural backdrop.
Indoors, the main barn offers a more dramatic approach, including the option for a mezzanine entrance. Large windows ensure the space remains light-filled and connected to the coastline beyond. Each option feels distinct, allowing couples to shape a ceremony that reflects both the setting and their priorities.
Designed with long celebrations in mind, The Anglesey Barn hosts two-day weddings as standard, encouraging guests to settle in and enjoy the pace of a destination-style gathering. Drinks often begin on the terrace, where views stretch across the bay, and dusk brings a noticeable shift in mood. As the evening builds, celebrations move naturally into the barn. With capacity for up to 220 guests and multiple options for the dance floor, the space was planned for lively parties without feeling crowded. The in-house bar team supports the flow of the evening, while flexible food options keep energy high well into the night. From spring evenings to autumn sunsets, receptions here are shaped as much by the setting as the schedule.
On-site accommodation is a central part of the experience at The Anglesey Barn, allowing close friends and family to stay together throughout the celebrations. Sleeping up to 26-28 guests on site, with additional nearby accommodation for a further 32, the venue supports both intimate gatherings and larger guest lists. The rooms sit within converted farm buildings arranged around the main barn, creating a sense of shared space while still offering privacy. Each area has been thoughtfully planned, with kitchen facilities, comfortable living spaces, and sea views from many windows. The layout encourages relaxed mornings and unhurried evenings, keeping everything you need within easy reach.
Two-day weddings are standard at The Anglesey Barn, allowing couples and guests to gather the night before and enjoy a slower rhythm across the weekend. The old Farmhouse acts as a shared hub, with a large kitchen designed for pre-wedding meals or relaxed barbecues. Additional shared spaces across the accommodation include lounges, terraces, and informal gathering areas, supporting both group time and quieter moments.
Catering at The Anglesey Barn is led exclusively by Cheeky Chilli, a multi-award-winning team with strong ties to Anglesey. Their menus are built around seasonal, locally sourced produce and a confident, flavour-led approach. Couples can choose from luxury canapés, wedding breakfasts, sharing feasts, and globally inspired street-food-style evening options, alongside creative tray service and live cooking stations. Service is warm and personal, matching the pace of a two-day celebration rather than a tightly timed schedule. The bar service complements the food offering, offering relaxed drinks on the terrace and high-energy evenings in the barn.
Sustainability underpins The Anglesey Barn’s operations. Built with strong green credentials, the venue uses solar panels providing 48kW of power across the site, alongside air source heat pumps and wet underfloor heating. The building itself is A-rated for energy efficiency. Low-carbon practices extend beyond the structure, with recycling systems in place and a focus on reducing food miles across the catering operation. Located within an area of outstanding natural beauty, environmental responsibility has been a key consideration from the outset, shaping both day-to-day operations and long-term planning.
A wedding on Anglesey naturally lends itself to a wider celebration. The island is known for its beaches, coastal walks, historic sites, and a growing food scene, making it easy to turn a wedding into a longer stay. Local ceremony options include coastal churches such as St Cwyfan’s Church on Cribinau Island near Aberffraw, as well as St Gwenllwyfo in Dulas and St Michael’s in Penrhoslligy. Whether guests arrive early or stay on after the wedding, Anglesey offers plenty to explore, from quiet stretches of coastline to lively villages and scenic inland routes.
Anglesey is easily reached by road and rail. The island is accessed via the A55, crossing the Britannia Bridge before a final 20-minute drive through country roads to the venue. For a more scenic approach, the A5 through Snowdonia offers dramatic views. Train services run frequently from London Euston, Manchester, and Crewe to Bangor, which is approximately a 30-minute drive from The Anglesey Barn. The combination of accessibility and clear separation from everyday life makes arrival feel intentional without being complicated.
The Anglesey Barn is an absolutely stunning new venue with the most breathtaking views, the perfect setting for such a big day. The place has a warm, welcoming feel, and you can tell real care has gone into making it special. Owners George and Nicki couldn’t be more helpful or friendly, which makes the experience even better. A beautiful setting, great people, and definitely a place worth visiting – highly recommended!
The catering was provided by Cheeky Chilli, and they were fantastic from start to finish. The food was excellent, and they went above and beyond to accommodate any changes we needed to the menu. The front of house team was brilliant too – attentive, professional, and always on hand to make sure everything ran smoothly. They really helped make the day stress-free and enjoyable for everyone.

A wedding dream come true at Anglesey Barn
Get comfortable—this is a long one, but there’s just so much to say!
After months of searching high and low across the island for the perfect wedding venue, we stumbled upon a sign: “Opening for weddings 2025,” overlooking our favourite beach. From that moment, it felt like fate.
When we first met George and Nicki, the venue was nothing more than a few steel beams—but somehow, we just knew it was the place for us. We had nothing but a dream, and they didn’t just sell us on the vision—they believed in it with us. We bonded instantly over our shared love of this beautiful location, and from then on, everything fell into place.
We truly can’t thank George, Nicki, their extended family, and the entire team at Anglesey Barn enough for what they pulled off. It was nothing short of a miracle that they got everything done in time for our big day—and what they delivered blew us away.
When we saw the finished venue for the first time, we were speechless. Every detail had been thought through—from the branded toiletries to thoughtful welcome provisions. It was clear that no expense had been spared. The furniture, the lighting, the interiors, Nicki, you may have found your second calling in design!
The day itself was absolutely perfect. The caterers and bar staff were incredible—so many of our guests said it was the best wedding food they’d ever had (including the bride’s dad, who is notoriously hard to impress!).
We could honestly go on and on about Anglesey Barn, but to keep it simple: thank you for making our wedding day something we will never forget.
To anyone out there searching for an unforgettable venue with breathtaking views and the most incredible team—run, don’t walk, to book Anglesey Barn. This place will be booked up for years in advance, and for very good reason.

Incredible wedding venue with exceptional views of the Anglesey coastline. The accommodation is beautiful with decor and furnishings of a very high standard. The Farmhouse kitchen was very well equipped with all the required gadgets, utensils and crockery.
The owners, George and Nikki, were so welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure that everything went to plan. The wedding party were at ease with them both on the big day and the weeks leading up to it. They are both very hard-working and deserve every success with the new venture.
The Cheeky Chilli Catering company provided lovely canapés and an excellent meal. The service was prompt and professional.
Highly recommend the Anglesey Barn as a wedding venue and wish we could do it all again there.
