Knowle Hall, also known as The Location House, sits quietly in the West Midlands countryside, just beyond the village of Knowle. Its 17 acres of gardens and manicured grounds provide a varied backdrop for your wedding day, with open lawns, intimate corners, and mature trees framing views of the surrounding fields. Inside, the house retains intricate plasterwork ceilings, marble fireplaces, and period details that speak of its Georgian elegance, while spacious rooms allow light to fall naturally and create an airy, calm atmosphere. Access is straightforward by car, five minutes from the M42, or by rail via nearby Knowle station, making it practical without compromising the feeling of remoteness.
From 2027, Knowle Hall will offer civil ceremonies across several locations. Choose the pastel drawing room for a softly lit indoor ceremony, the garden chapel for a quiet outdoor setting, or the main lawn for a sweeping, open-air celebration. Each option allows couples to create a personal moment of exchange, framed by the house’s character and the natural surroundings. The spaces are flexible, letting you configure seating, décor, and flow according to your day, whether you prefer intimate and understated or more formal arrangements.
The venue’s three-day hire ensures your reception unfolds without rush. You can host your wedding breakfast on the terrace with views of grazing horses, on the lawn under the sky, or within the elegant drawing room and hallway. Interiors accommodate a sense of occasion with high ceilings and period details that enrich the atmosphere. Evening celebrations flow naturally into the spaces you choose, with the house and grounds providing both quiet corners for conversation and open areas for dancing. The flexible layout allows you to plan your day around what feels most natural for you and your guests.
Knowle Hall offers one double en-suite room for the couple. The calm setting allows for a moment of retreat before or after the day’s celebrations, creating a small, intimate sanctuary within the house. For additional guests, nearby accommodation options are available in the village of Knowle or in Solihull, allowing friends and family to stay close while enjoying the local surroundings.
You are free to select your own caterers or draw from Knowle Hall’s recommended partners. Dining can take place indoors or outdoors, with menus tailored to suit your style, season, and preferences. The house and grounds offer a backdrop that complements the dining experience, allowing food and drink to be enjoyed in a setting that feels considered rather than formal.
