Bath offers much more than its famous Georgian architecture and spa-town history – it is ideally placed as a base for exploring a wealth of charming villages, historic towns, and beautiful countryside within a short drive or rail journey.
Just outside the city lie several picturesque villages and towns well worth a visit. For example, Bradford‑on‑Avon – reachable by a brief train ride – enchants visitors with its cobbled streets, riverside walks along the River Avon, and a tranquil atmosphere that feels worlds away from the bustle of a city.
A short drive into the countryside brings you to classic English villages such as Castle Combe and Lacock. Castle Combe, with its honey-coloured stone houses and timeless charm, is often described as one of England’s most picturesque villages. Lacock, meanwhile, is perfect for a peaceful stroll or a gentle day out exploring heritage and green spaces.
Within Bath itself – just minutes from the House – there is a vibrant offering of historic sites, cultural attractions, spa-town heritage and independent shopping, making it a wonderful location for visitors who want to explore the city as well as celebrate.
All essential elements are included in the venue pricing, such as venue hire, floral arrangements, ceremony music, and support from a dedicated Wedding Coordinator.
