Everards Farm

Everards Farm sits within the Mendip Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Surrounded by 18 acres of fields, woodland paths, and quiet outdoor corners, the estate combines peaceful rural charm with proximity to city life. Equidistant to Bath and Bristol and just 7 minutes from the city of Wells, the location offers both seclusion and convenience. Cheddar Gorge lies only ten minutes away, while Stonehenge can be reached within the hour.

The Great Hall offers a grand setting for the ceremony, featuring oak panelling, a statement fireplace, and an archway that frames the space beautifully. Positioned centrally, it connects easily to the courtyard, ideal for post-ceremony drinks. For couples seeking something more rustic, the barn is available as an alternative ceremony space. Celebrant-led weddings are also welcomed.

The reception can take place in the barn, seating up to 80 guests, or under a marquee for a larger gathering of up to 150. The barn is a flexible space for the wedding breakfast, evening celebration, or both. Working with Abbas Marquees, Everards Farm provides a wide range of marquee styles. Using the surrounding fields allows for a truly tailored celebration.

Six on-site accommodations are available, along with thirteen additional rooms through a partner property.

• Hygge and Fika: Two one-bedroom cabins with sofa beds, copper bathtubs on the veranda, log burners, and outdoor dining areas.
• The Cottage: A two-bedroom home in the courtyard with king-size beds, a Catchpole & Rye bathtub, and a wet room. Outside, a heated dining area sits under a Dome Sail lamp.
• The Parlour: One-bedroom property with a large outdoor dining area for ten, plus a full outdoor kitchen, pizza oven, BBQ, log burner, and wood-fired Dutch tub. Inside, a super king bedroom, log burner, and luxury bathroom.
• The Pigsty: Boutique-style suite with a wet room, Nespresso station, Roccbox pizza oven, log burner, and Dutch tub with views across the estate.
• The Threshing Barn: Duplex one-bedroom property with courtyard access and proximity to the pool. Features include two bathrooms, a Savoir bed, a full kitchen, and an outdoor dining area.

Two established catering partners provide a wide range of menu options, from traditional wedding breakfasts to more modern formats and buffet style to Tandoor Stations; anything is possible. Drinks packages are also available with locally produced wines included.

Sustainability is prioritised across the estate:

• Hygge and Fika cabins use solar panels with battery storage to power nearby electric vehicle charging points.
• The indoor pool and most buildings are heated using ground-source heat pumps.
• Solar energy supports heating and energy needs across the site.

Chewton Mendip village lies just beyond the estate’s edge and offers a local pantry for essentials. Nearby Wells boasts a cathedral, market square, and vibrant high street. Glastonbury’s quirky shops, historic sites, and the Tor are just 8 miles away. For a touch of the coast without the sea, Cheddar Gorge delivers with its lively shops and Jacob’s Ladder hike. Wookey Hole Caves, a local attraction, is also nearby.

Everards Farm is around 30 minutes from both Bath Spa and Castle Cary train stations, each with direct links to London. It sits just off the A39. A car is recommended for travel beyond the farm. While taxis are available, they may not be readily available.
