Our Perfect Day!

We recently got married at Upton Barn & Walled Garden and wow what a perfect day it was! The venue itself is truly stunning, rustic and beautiful. The fire pit was a huge hit in the evening! The lake and the fountain made for beautiful photos. The whole booking process went super smooth with Natalie being our events coordinator. She was always on hand if I had any questions or worries. She kept me calm throughout our wedding day, helped the men with their buttonholes, just generally being there to help anyone who needed it. We had so many guests come up and tell us how wonderful the venue is and how lovely all the staff were working that day. The tack room was an absolute saviour for my husband and myself. We could sneak away for a 5 minute breather, a quiet and calm place. I can’t recommend Upton enough! The whole Upton team are incredible.

Dream wedding venue!

The venue truly took our breath away. From the rolling countryside views to the beautifully restored barns, everything felt magical. What we loved most was how the venue already feels so special without needing excessive decoration; it’s full of character, charm, and thoughtful details that speak for themselves.

We are so incredibly grateful to the entire team at Upton Barn. Our wedding day was beyond perfect, and we genuinely wouldn’t change a thing. The day flowed seamlessly from start to finish, and our guests couldn’t stop commenting on how beautiful everything was, several told us it was the nicest wedding venue they’d ever been to.

The wedding coordinators were an absolute dream to work with. From the start, they made everything feel manageable and stress-free. The scheduled planning meetings helped us feel prepared and excited, their email responses were always prompt and helpful, and on the day itself, they were such a calming, reassuring presence. It honestly felt like having an extra friend by our side.

The wedding of our dreams!

Myself and my now husband recently got married at Upton Barn and Walled Garden. We cannot even begin to put into words how perfect our day was. From the start of our booking journey to the running of our wedding day, the staff at Upton were sensational. Throughout the whole process, everything felt personal, and all our wants and needs were met. The venue is just stunning and was everything we were looking for when we booked it over 2 years ago. The wait and build-up led to a wedding day that was perfect and even surpassed our own expectations. Thank you so much to all of the staff at Upton Barn, we will be forever grateful for the memories you allowed us to make.

The Most Perfect Venue!

We booked this venue during lockdown so were only able to have a virtual tour and we already knew it was the one! The venue itself is incredible, and the staff are amazing! Throughout the whole planning process they were always on hand for any questions we had (even if they were stupid questions) and made everything we envisioned come to life. They have so much attention to detail during the planning process (there would of been so much we would have missed if they hadn’t brought it up).

On the day Kaliegh was AMAZING. She kept our day running smoothly and we could never thank her enough! We also booked the paddock for the morning of which I would highly recommend, such a beautiful space to get ready and it really does take the stress away with being at the location already.

All of our guests commented on how lovely Upton was and we can’t wait to return as a guest for friends future weddings.

The perfect venue.

From the first moment we stepped foot in the venue, we were overwhelmed by how stunning the grounds and interior were. It is modern but has character even without adding decor.

The staff were incredible and so helpful. On the day we had a medical emergency and they remained calm and professional and managed to seamlessly attend to the incident, support us as the bride and groom and attend to our other guests. We cannot thank them enough for this.

We were supported with the planning of the day, and this helped the day to run smoothly and everything to be perfect! All of our guests commented on how stunning the venue was and how amazing all of the staff were.

Perfect day in every way!

Well where do we start! From the moment we stepped through the doors (or walled garden!) at Upton we fell in love. We knew straight away this was where we wanted for our special day. Then we met the people, who confirmed this even more! It really is an Upton feeling you get! Everything was perfect… despite the bumpy covid road (which Claire, Richard and the team were amazing throughout) we couldn’t have asked for a better day. I’m so glad we got to enjoy the new addition of the paddock room as well, that really added to our morning and meant being able to relax in such beautiful surroundings. It really is a beautiful venue and we can’t thank the team enough. We want to do it all over again!

Cannot recommend highly enough.

We are so happy that we chose Upton Barn as our wedding venue this summer, and we cannot recommend them highly enough.

The venue itself has a beautiful modern-industrial design that we loved and it’s situated in the rolling hills of Devon with stunning views all around.

The team at Upton Barn were so friendly and helpful both in the planning stage leading up to the wedding and on the wedding day itself. One example was how they had two event coordinators on the day, making sure we were in the right place at the right time, and also liaising with all the suppliers/vendors on the day so we didn’t have to think about that at all. They were also flexible when our meal/speeches overran slightly, and they were able to adjust the upcoming schedule on the fly so we didn’t feel too rushed into the next thing.

At Upton Barn you are restricted to choosing between two catering companies that they work with, but this was not a problem at all. We had such a positive experience with Mulberry and highly recommend them. The menu was varied, and the food was absolutely delicious.

The two bars were great. They had a good selection of drinks at decent prices, and they were well-staffed throughout the day and evening.

If you’re considering choosing Upton Barn for your wedding, go for it. You won’t regret it!

Incredible!

We celebrated our wedding at Upton Barn and Walled Garden in September, and we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. Georgia and the team were incredible, ensuring the day ran smoothly and felt effortless. Their support and professionalism have been outstanding From our first visit to the pre-wedding meetings and even the post-wedding follow-ups.

The venue itself is breathtaking, but it’s the team that truly made the experience so special. Thank you for helping create memories we’ll treasure forever!

The best!

We wanted a wedding venue where we would feel relaxed and cared for in a stylish, charming, cool, understated place, and Upton Barn delivered. It’s run by a team who really know how to make a beautiful day.

There are so many lovely spaces here. It was a joy to walk into the gorgeous walled garden after our church ceremony. The incredible window in the stable barn made a beautiful backdrop to our speeches (and a big shout-out to the horses for making a guest appearance). As the light disappeared and the sun set, the festoon lights and fire pit had their moment, and the garden came to life. The cider barn was the perfect size for our ceilidh, too.

Best Day of Our Lives!

As soon as we went to look at Upton Barn we knew instantly that we were going to get married there, the venue is just breath taking. Every single space at Upton Barn is so beautiful that it’s difficult not to fall in love instantly. The staff that work there are some of the other reasons that make Upton Barn so incredible. They are so attentive, knowledgeable and professional. They truly make you feel like your wedding day is in the safest hands! I just can’t say enough positive things about how amazing our day was. I wish we could do it all over again! Just thank you so much to the most beautiful venue and the most incredible staff. A special thank you to our wedding coordinator, Sarah; you really made us feel so at ease and special. Everything was planned down to the last detail, and your enthusiasm for everything to do with the day matched our own, and it really felt like you cared about everything.

The perfect day at the perfect venue!

We knew the second we walked into Upton Barn that it was the venue for us! It is a beautiful and modern space which offers both indoor and outdoor options for a wedding.

From the outset, we were really well supported by the team at Upton to plan our day, and they provided thorough and helpful advice and guidance to what could seem like a daunting process.

Our wedding coordinator Kaliegh was the best, from our final meeting until the end of our big day, she made sure our big day was perfect – from setting up the venue with decorations, to coordinating timings and calming us both down before the I Do’s. Everyone really went the extra mile, and no question or change was too much. Everything was seamless.

It breaks my heart that my big day at Upton Barn is finished as it was the most magical day, I am so pleased that I got to start my marriage here with my loved ones. And the venue and staff gave my marriage the very best start.

If you are thinking of booking Upton Barn, please go for it! You will absolutely not regret it – it is the most amazing venue, with the most fabulous staff.

Even better than we’d imagined!

Wow, where to begin! Our wedding day was even better than I’d hoped for, and Upton Barn was such a huge part of what made it so wonderful. We had a February wedding, and Upton has such a warm, cosy feel to it at that time of year, and looked absolutely gorgeous with lots of candles. We had rain all morning, but as it cleared during our ceremony, they asked if we wanted to change plans, so we could have our confetti and photos outside. I was so pleased! It was coordinated so seamlessly and easily.

Everyone who works at Upton puts so much care into every detail. Sarah was our coordinator, and we can’t thank her enough! Her excitement and energy were contagious, and she handled a few last-minute changes with ease and really helped us feel relaxed and prepared in the run-up to the day. The rest of the team throughout the day were impeccable at making us feel so looked after and happy, we truly got to feel like ‘guests of honour’ rather than hosts, we absolutely enjoyed every minute and couldn’t have done that without them, thank you all!

Each area is so carefully considered, the Paddock is absolutely incredible for getting ready, and the accommodation is gorgeous and so convenient to have nearby. We really loved that there was plenty of seating in the bar area, and we used the entrance space to make a kids’ area too. Our guests had nothing but amazing things to say about the venue, the staff, and even commented on the reasonable price of drinks. Everyone kept comparing it to other weddings and saying how much better Upton was!

Having seen friends planning weddings with a lot more stress than me, I know I found the guidance and coordination from Upton invaluable at every stage.

Most Amazing Day!

Upton Barn was the first venue we looked around and I knew that was where I was going to get married. The grounds and surrounding are breathtaking and it just got better as we went inside the walled garden.

The team were amazing from start to finish and Harriet made the day run so smoothly we had no stress at all. She was the best!! We hadn’t lived in the area for long so was unsure on all suppliers but Upton sent over their recommendations and they really were great!

Without it being finished I booked the paddock to get ready in and my expectations were exceeded when I got to see it. Such a beautiful area to and ready and unwind in before the big day, with views of miles around. More than enough room for all your suppliers and bridal party to be in without it feeling cramped.

All the guests had an amazing time from the little ones running round the grounds to the grand parents that were more than happy to sit in the comfy bar area.

We wish we could do the day over again because it really was the most incredible day!

The best venue!

We cannot put into words how thankful we are for everything everyone at Upton has done for us and for our special day. It truly was the best day of our lives! From the moment we came to Upton, we knew we did not need to look at any other venue. It had such a warm feel to it that you can only describe it once you see it for yourself. We fell in love with it the moment we came onto site, and all the extras like the beautiful Paddock, cosy and modern accommodation were all just icing on the top of the cake! All of our guests commented on what a beautiful venue it was, and many of our friends who have previously been married commented they couldn’t believe how slick everything was on the day!

Nothing over the past two years of planning was ever too much trouble. Upton were efficient, organised and had such an eye for detail, our day was beyond our wildest expectations. We are genuinely so sad we can’t do it all over again!

Absolutely incredible.

Upton Barn is a beautiful stunning venue, we are so so glad we chose this for our wedding in November. Not only is the venue perfect the staff are just fantastic. We had to rearrange twice due to covid and Claire made a very stressful process so much easier. A special thanks to Harry and Kaliegh for helping us plan a brilliant day and making sure everything ran so smoothly on the day.

There really isn’t any comparison to this stunning venue! When Mark and I got engaged two years ago, we looked up online venues around our area, and we narrowed it down to 4. Upton Barn was our favourite from the beginning, but it’s always good to check out your options. Checking out our options turned out to just be a waste of time! Nothing compared to the beauty of the venue and also the warm welcome of the staff that worked there. I didn’t end up having to ask any questions because they were answered for me during our tour. I looked around with my parents on a beautiful sunny day, and then when Mark was able to come with me, it rained the whole time, but I think it’s a good thing because you never know the weather. We loved it just much in the rain too. The inside has beautiful space for an indoor wedding, too, which we very nearly ended up having.

A lot of my email interaction was with Sarah, who was an absolute star! She answered so many of my questions and helped me when I needed it during the planning process. The day itself ran so smoothly that everybody commented on it. Kaleigh was our wedding ordinator for the main day and then swapped in the evening with two other lovely ladies! Becky was looking after Mark and making sure he knew where he was meant to be etc and Kaleigh looked after me. They were both just so lovely and attentive. Everyone knew exactly what was happening and when and where we were meant to be. I honestly couldn’t have hoped for better ladies to help us with our day!

Our whole experience with Upton Barn has been so wonderful that I honestly couldn’t recommend them enough. Thank you so much for making our day so incredibly wonderful. You always dream of wedding but it honest exceeded my dreams so thank you!

Beautiful venue.

Upton Barn was just what we wanted for our wedding: a rustic venue that’s not too big and set in beautiful countryside with gorgeous views!

The paddock to get ready in made the morning, it was so stress free and had everything you need to enjoy the morning. The grounds at Upton won us over the first time we visited, the walled garden is stunning, definitely the highlight for us. Although we didn’t manage to get married outside due to a rain shower, the cider barn is just as gorgeous to get married in. We managed to do our confetti shot and photographs outside which made it for us as we so wanted to enjoy the grounds. The grounds make for such beautiful photos!

Upton staff were extremely organised and helpful throughout the whole process, we want to especially thank Kaliegh and Laura, they made us feel at ease and made the day run so smoothly. Upton Barn allowed us to have our tractor there and decorated the venue with our decorations even better than we envisioned. So many of our guests commented on what a gorgeous wedding venue it is. Our day couldn’t have gone any better, and that’s down to Upton and the team!
