Setting
Colville Hall is a stately and historic wedding venue within 10 acres of meticulously maintained formal grounds in the beautiful countryside just outside Great Dunmow, Essex. The venue’s picturesque courtyard, surrounded by thatched barns, provides an intimate and private space for up to 200 guests. The estate also features gazebos, ancient monuments, and a Grade I archway, which really adds to the atmosphere.
Ceremony
The ancient Tudor barn, included in the venue hire, is a versatile space for all aspects of the day. The venue also offers a ceremony barn, available for an additional cost, which provides a dedicated space for the formal vows.
Reception
For the reception, Colville Hall provides access to the ancient Tudor barn from 9 am to midnight. The barn has air conditioning, underfloor heating, round and long tables, and Chivari limewash chairs. A wooden dance floor, a fully stocked bar with cash or card payment options, and evening glassware are also provided. Bar staff are included, and the barn is adorned with twinkling fairy lights on the beams. The hire includes cleaning the barn at the end of the event.
Accommodation
Accommodation is available for up to 20 guests, including a Bridal Suite, the Old Dairy, and The Stables, at an additional cost.
Food & Drink
Colville Hall offers a variety of food and drink options provided by three approved caterers. The price per head includes a tasting and consultation before booking, a detailed day plan, and the services of an events manager for the wedding day. Uniformed chefs and waiters serve the menu chosen by the couple, with contemporary cutlery and china table dressing provided. The venue also offers three levels of drink packages.
