The Ridgeway Barns lies amidst fields of barley, oats, and wheat at the heart of a working farm in the North Wessex Downs. This beautiful countryside setting offers expansive views across rolling hills and the ancient Ridgeway trail. Its serene and unspoiled surroundings provide an inspiring backdrop for weddings, blending rural charm with timeless appeal.
The Ridgeway Barns is licensed for both indoor and outdoor ceremonies, allowing couples to choose the perfect setting. Options range from an intimate farmhouse ceremony (up to 24 guests) to larger gatherings in the barn (up to 100 seated) or an outdoor service under the oak-framed gazebo, accommodating up to 120 guests. For those preferring a traditional church wedding, charming village churches are also nearby.
After the ceremony, enjoy a drinks reception in the gardens with breathtaking views over the North Wessex Downs. There’s space for garden games or memorable photos by the Georgian farmhouse, surrounded by fragrant wisteria and rose gardens.
The 19th-century threshing barn, with its underfloor heating, provides a warm and inviting space for celebrations during the colder months, while the stretch tent offers coverage from May to September. Capacity varies with up to 100 guests between April and October and 70 from November to March.
The Georgian farmhouse offers a homely setting for family and friends. It has six bedrooms that accommodate up to 12 guests. Additional spaces, including the luxury honeymoon suite, the pumphouse annex and shepherds rest, bring the total capacity to 16-18 people. Accommodation is self-catered, with breakfast hampers available upon request. Weekend weddings include a two-night stay as standard, while midweek options offer both one-night and two-night accommodations.
