A beautiful walled garden ceremony, a neutral tablescape of dreams, bunny tails grass (so cute), organic pearls (bridal earrings to die for), and an emotional first dance.
Aylish & Kyrren picked Garthmyl Hall for their summer wedding as they loved the eclectic yet lavish interiors, pulled together by Owner Julia, and the fact they were able to make the venue their own for their contemporary boho celebration. Their Photographer Pix by Vix talks us through all the details…
Vix says…
Aylish put a tremendous effort into her styling for her day, from all the little details from name tags and cutlery to the styling of the tables to the extra details such as the beer pong table and extra pampas vases around the venue. Aylish wanted a contemporary take on the boho vibe that she loves, using dried florals in neutral colours and gold accents on the table with the candle sticks, cutlery and gorgeous vintage look glassware being key. A bold black print sign and the black bridesmaids dresses gave everything a sleek modern look.
Tammy at TMS Events went above and beyond making the most incredible floral cloud that hung in the reception room. The hoop was around 6ft wide, filled with pampas and palm spears but also cute ‘bunny tails’ for extra texture and detail.
As a photographer I love to capture the natural candid moments of the day as it rolls out, so you get to see all the bits you don’t see on your wedding day and relive it in the most beautiful and emotional way. Being able to capture the day as it flows is so key, but I love escaping later on in the day for portraits with the couple.
Best part of the day
The best part of the day was the numerous entertainers the couple had booked making the day feel like a festival! And also THE BEER PONG, this was incredible! It brought out the fun for everyone, including a little bit of competitiveness!
Some advice…
Don’t overfill your itinerary – enjoy your day. Leave your suppliers to do what they do best and fully embrace every moment.
