These converted Grade II listed barns are set on a beautiful family farm in the heart of North Yorkshire. Their wedding paddock, with its wildflower borders and stunning views of North Yorkshire, as well as their romantic wood, ensures your photographer will be spoilt for choice when it comes to where to take your wedding pictures. With access the afternoon before, you can enjoy time with family and friends, make the barns your own, and set up for the following day.
Couples can choose their own suppliers to create their bespoke wedding day, whether garden games in the courtyard or a seven-piece band in the evening. From the first moment, the team are on hand to help and advise with any questions you have. They’ll also be on site all day organising behind the scenes, so you can be confident your day will go off without a hitch. From their in-house sound system with mics ready for your speeches to their air con for those warm summer days, they’ve thought of everything so you can relax and truly enjoy the day with your loved ones.
Their lovingly restored Grade II listed 200-year-old ceremony barn is fully licensed for weddings. It provides a stunning backdrop for exchanging vows, with 62 windows and original oak trusses wrapped in fairy lights. Following the ceremony, couples can exit via the huge barn doors to have confetti on the patio and enjoy welcome drinks and canapés while enjoying the sunshine in the stunning courtyard.
Wedding breakfasts are held in the modern grain store. This restored building juxtaposes 200-year-old brickwork with contemporary anthracite steelwork and polished concrete floors. Handmade lighting features and exposed wood make this space perfect for celebrating.
When it’s time for the first dance, they dim the feature lighting, and you can take to the bespoke dance floor to get the party started! Their “snug” is a warm and cosy space complete with Chesterfield sofas for guests to socialise and relax whilst keeping an eye on the action on the dance floor.
When the daylight begins to fade, the festoon lighting illuminates the courtyard with a soft light perfect for your guests to enjoy a drink whilst your street food caterer provides the evening food before you head back inside to enjoy the dancing!
Their on-site self-catering accommodation sleeps 14 people, meaning you can begin the celebrations getting ready together with your wedding party or family. The bridal suite comes complete with a roll-top bath, separate showers and far-reaching views across the Yorkshire Hills. The beautiful prep room is full of natural light and enormous mirrors, perfect for getting ready on-site with your bridal party. The rest of your guests will enjoy five further ensuite rooms and a huge kitchen diner to enjoy a meal the night before your wedding and catch up over breakfast the following morning.
There are many additional options available locally for your guests. Within a five-minute drive, there are three local pubs with rooms and just 10 minutes away is a large hotel in Thirsk.
Catering is done by one of their six recommended caterers, ranging from live cooking to fine dining options. You are welcome to have street food vendors in the evening when everyone gets hungry from all the dancing!
Their in-house bar will provide all your drinks on your wedding day, including reception drinks and toasts. You’ll be invited to a drinks-tasting evening to try their wines and cocktails so their experienced bar team can customise your drinks for your day.
Their peaceful farm is just 10 minutes from the market town of Thirsk, with its East Coast mainline train station (1 hr 50 mins from London Kings Cross) and extensive accommodation options. It is also within striking distance of the A1(M) for any guests travelling from the north or south and 45 minutes from Leeds Bradford International Airport.
Your guests are welcome to leave cars overnight and the local taxi companies are excellent if booked in advance.
I honestly cannot recommend Lodge Farm Weddings highly enough. My husband and I got married here last week, and we had the most incredible day. Having had to plan our wedding from the other side of the world, we thought it would have been a lot more of a challenge than it turned out to be. Jen and her team were incredibly kind and understanding, helpful and patient when dealing with many queries and the time difference. On the day, Kirsty was there to help coordinate the day and it all just ran so seamlessly. The new accomodation is beautiful and finished to such a high standard – I wish we could have stayed longer. Lodge Farm is a beautiful venue, and we heard this comment a lot from many of our guests, too. You can do as much or as little to it as you desire to decorate for the big day, however, it is so beautiful in it’s own right. Once again, I couldn’t recommend Lodge Farm Weddings more if I tried. Thank you for helping us create the greatest day! We want to do it all over again.
Married August 2024
We cannot thank Jen, Kirsty and the team at Lodge Farm enough for making our wedding day so special.
We emailed them for the first time in December 23, and got married in September 24. Throughout the entire process from our initial enquiry, the dozens of emails back and forth, and multiple visits to venue; planning our wedding at Lodge Farm was so easy. The wedding day ran so smoothly, everything happened in the background allowing us to enjoy our special day with our guests.
The venue truly is stunning, combining the character and charm of an old working farm, with the high-end modern touches of a luxury wedding venue. The venue provides you with plenty of flexibility to choose many of your own suppliers, and from a handful of caterers (we chose Dom’s Kitchen – and absolutely loved them!)
We wholeheartedly recommend Lodge Farm – thank you once again for making our special day perfect.
Married September 2024
Lodge Farm is the perfect wedding venue, and we couldn’t have asked for a more sublime location to celebrate our marriage. Where do you start? From the fabulous team – Jen, Rob and Caroline, nothing was too much in creating our dream day. The venue is spectacular and very memorable. The space really flows from the dramatic drinks reception in the old barn to a roaring sit down supper for 140 people finished by live music and dancing in the new barn. Another benefit is the adorable local village church a short walk through an enchanting woodland looking over the Yorkshire moors. The venue offers great flexibility and facilitated us to have our wedding day completely unique.
We had our wedding reception at Lodge Farm in July 2023, and the experience was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. A stunning venue set in gorgeous surroundings, with great staff and brilliant overnight accommodation. If you’re in two minds about getting married here. Go for it – you won’t be disappointed!
Married July 2023
We can totally recommend Lodge Farm Weddings! From start to finish we had a great experience! The communication and planning were great and the weekend itself was amazing! It’s a beautiful venue , very relaxed and intimate! The bed and breakfast accommodation on site set us up for a great start and everybody said it was one of the best venues they had ever been to! Thanks so much Jen, Rob and Caroline.
We got married here a few weeks ago and everything went perfectly!
During the planning stage, Jen was always available to chat to and suggested some catering companies that we might like. We went with Nomad Catering in the end and they were amazing. Also, the bar company that they use are brilliant, guests were commenting on how lovely the staff were.
We arrived the day before the wedding to set everything up, I loved that we had a blank slate to decorate how we wanted. I hired some things from Born Boho for the ceremony room and we set up the tables ourselves.
The rooms at the B&B are lovely and Caroline makes a beautiful breakfast!
On the day of our wedding, it started torrentially raining just as I was due to walk to the ceremony barn but all the staff at Lodge Farm arrived at the bridal suite door and had brollies over me! They were all super nice and helpful! The day itself went smoothly and everyone had an amazing time.
I would totally recommend getting married here, the experience was amazing from start to finish!
Thank you to everyone at Lodge Farm.
Nick and I got married at Lodge Farm Weddings in May 2022 and could not be happier with our weekend. We booked the venue before it was even completed back in 2020/21, and we are so thankful for Jen and Rob’s hard work and patience over the last few months. The venue is absolutely stunning and all our guests were amazed by the spacious barns and incredible views. The location is secluded and relaxed and made for the perfect backdrop for our ceremony and reception. We were lucky enough to be able to use the courtyard for our drinks with its lovely fairy lights, and took romantic photos in the fields. I would recommend to anyone thinking of hosting a wedding here to also book the B&B rooms. These were stunning and so practical for family/wedding party to get ready at. The views from some of the bedrooms and the breakfast area are unbelievable and the breakfast served by Caroline every morning was perfect. If I could it all again I would.
We got married on a rainy Saturday in June (thank you, English weather!) at Lodge Farm, and we could not recommend the venue more. Jen, Rob, Kirsty, Will and the rest of the team all worked so seamlessly to give us and our family and friends the most incredible day. You guys are the most unbelievable team and we couldn’t be more grateful, not even the pouring rain all afternoon and evening could even remotely dampen our day! We received so many wonderful compliments on the venue, and the newly finished accommodation is absolutely gorgeous, we feel so lucky that it was ready in time for us! Thank you so much again.
Married June 2024
Our wedding day was just perfect at Lodge Farm. Jen and Rob were fantastic and the B&B was a great place for our family to stay. Jen was really flexible during the booking process and being able to come in the day before and pack up the day after was amazing. if you are looking for a venue look no further this place is unbelievable!
What an incredibly special venue. During our search we knew we wanted a barn in the north east. But as soon as we saw Lodge Farm we knew our search was over! Jen has been a delight to deal with in the run up and on our day. So helpful in answering all our questions and helping pass relevant info over to our suppliers. We are so happy we had our wedding here and 100% recommend other couples to book. Wish we could do it all over again! Ps. make sure you check out the men’s toilets!
Lodge Farm was the most wonderful wedding venue. Jen was helpful and supportive at every stage. The barns are absolutely stunning, every little detail has been thought of. They are a wonderful mix of historic buildings with quirky touches and modern comfort. Lodge Farm really does have it all and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
We are so glad we chose Lodge Farm for our wedding! The venue is stunning and being able to walk across the field from the church was just idyllic. Jen and Rob have such a great eye and each aspect of the venue has such a lovely rustic charm that sets the tone for a really relaxed yet classy day. Jen and Rob themselves are so thoughtful and accommodating and in the lead up to our covid wedding, they couldn’t have been more calm and patient and kind. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough!
We had a lovely wedding at Lodge Farm. The venue was perfect for us – beautiful location, plenty of outdoor and indoor space, and great communication + planning with Jen. We’d recommend to anyone looking for a fantastic wedding venue!
We had a wonderful wedding weekend at Lodge Farm Barns. Everything from the on-site accommodation, countryside views, gorgeous original barns and friendly staff made our wedding so perfect! All our guests were blown away by the venue and we’re so happy we chose to get married there.
We got married at Lodge Farm Weddings in August 2024. The whole day was perfect from start to finish and I greatly put that down to our fabulous wedding coordinator Kirsty.
She contacted all of the suppliers in advance and orchestrated the smoothest itinerary of the day, everything was made so easy and stress free for us. Also, Jen and Rob were extremely efficient with helping us organise things ahead of time. They answered all our requests extremely quickly.
Will who ran the bar couldn’t have done enough for us! He prioritised my husband and I all day. We were treated like royalty by the entire team.
Finally, Caroline was a lovely friendly face who showed us around the stunning accommodation and delivered warm pastries and bacon sandwiches in the morning. The venue is stunning and speaks for itself, but the things I will remember from the day is how the whole team made us feel! The day was so special and I will never forget what they did for us.
