We couldn’t have asked for a more magical experience. From the moment we stepped onto the picturesque property, we knew we had found the perfect wedding venue.

The natural beauty of Valleyside Barn is truly something out of a fairy tale. The lush greenery, the charming rustic barn, and the breathtaking views of the surrounding valley created an enchanting backdrop for our ceremony and reception. Our guests were in awe of the stunning location, and many commented that it was the most beautiful wedding venue they had ever seen.

However, what truly sets Valleyside Barn apart is the exceptional team behind it. Emma and Matt, from the very beginning of our wedding planning journey, were by our side, guiding us and turning our visions into reality. Their attention to detail and genuine care for making our day perfect was evident in every interaction we had with them.

Emma’s creativity and knack for understanding exactly what we wanted made the planning process smooth and enjoyable. She took the time to listen to our ideas and offered insightful suggestions that elevated every aspect of the event. Her organizational skills are truly commendable – no detail was too small for her to handle, and she made sure everything ran like clockwork.

Matt, with his calm demeanour, managed the logistical and practical aspects flawlessly. His expertise ensured that everything from seating arrangements to sound setup was executed seamlessly.

On the day itself, we were able to relax and enjoy every moment, knowing that Emma and Matt had everything under control.

Our wedding day was a dream come true, and we will forever cherish the memories created at Valleyside Barn.

We’re absolutely thrilled we chose to have our summer wedding at Valleyside Barn: beautiful location, brilliant hosts and excellent facilities. Everyone remarked on how splendid, green and peaceful the surroundings were – and then furnished it with everything you’d want for a wedding. Emma and Matt were such wonderful hosts and did everything they could to make it a perfect day for us – we can’t thank them enough, we had the best day ever – no stress, just huge fun!

From the moment we set foot on the property, we were blown away – the ceremony area was simply breathtaking, providing a picturesque backdrop and the inside of the barn was equally as beautiful, with its rustic charm and elegant touches. But what truly made our experience at Valleyside Barn exceptional were the lovely owners. They were incredibly welcoming and accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure our wedding day was nothing short of perfection. We can’t express enough how grateful we are for their outstanding hospitality and dedication. Valleyside Barn will forever hold a special place in our hearts as the place where our dream wedding came to life.

We were blown away by the style, warmth and beautiful setting of the barn. Wedding planning was made so simple by the efficiency of how Valleyside Barn is run and the flexibility to add our personal touch to make the day our own. All the staff on the day really cared to ensure our wedding was exactly how we imagined it to be. An added bonus is the on-site accommodation which brought a lot of fun to us and our guests for the whole weekend! We truly could not have asked for a better wedding venue or service and will be forever grateful to Emma and Matt for making our wedding more than we could have ever wished for.

Valleyside Barn delivered our dream wedding, and so much more.

From our first visit, we were immediately impressed by the thought and care that Matt and Emma have given to the venue. Restoration of the historic collection of buildings has been part of their vision, with their eye for stylish design creating a spectacular setting that preserves the place’s character. Their eye for detail extends to the cleanliness throughout, which was faultless.

The way the venue functions has been well thought through, allowing wedding parties to enjoy the whole day at the venue, whilst the zoned spaces fulfil different functions throughout the day. The wedding service typically happens in an idyllic courtyard where we also had canapes. Later, the wedding barn is revealed, serving as a spacious setting whilst still feeling intimidate. Later still after food, the venue opens up further to outdoor space with ready access for guests to walk down to the meadows to the river.

The venue has three six-person safari tents that can be rented separately. These were to a high standard and complemented the other accommodation options in Bickleigh well.

Last, but most importantly, Matt and Emma are the best thing about this venue. They work effortlessly together and made our day the best it could possibly be. As a venue, they only do one wedding per week and dedicate themselves to making it as brilliant as possible. On the day, they took care of everything, fulfilling the function of a wedding coordinator so that all suppliers and external providers were kept informed and in the loop.

We literally could not be happier with our choice of venue. The barn, outdoor courtyard and grounds are stunning! The owners, Matt and Emma are so friendly, helpful and accommodating. From the moment we booked Valleyside Barn, we knew we were in very capable hands. Emma was super efficient and was always on hand to answer any queries and to provide recommendations all the way from booking up to the day itself. Prior to the wedding (and after), Matt was always around, ensuring that the venue was in impeccable condition inside and out.

We were blessed with beautiful weather and got married in their outdoor courtyard which is just so pretty, but there is the bonus that they have a few areas where you can get married depending on your preference and weather.

We had the added pressures of getting married and planning a wedding with a small baby and two dogs. Emma and Matt went above and beyond to make everything as easy as possible. Emma ensured the honeymoon suite was ready for us all and even provided a travel cot, highchair, bouncer, activity mat, baby bath and dog bowls! Also, at the end of the evening, some of our guests and children also couldn’t get a taxi at the end of the night, so Matt made several trips to their accommodation to make sure they all got back safe! We literally couldn’t have asked for more.

On the day itself, everything went so smoothly, thanks to Emma and Matt. They made the whole day flow seamlessly, such as moving from the ceremony area to the main barn and setting up for the evening – it wasn’t even noticeable. The only downside we have is that it’s now over, but we are planning on returning to stay in their glamping safari tents!

A dream wedding at Valleyside Barn.

From the moment we first visited Valleyside Barn, we knew it was the one. We were drawn to the natural beauty of the grounds, the charm of the barn, and the peaceful countryside setting – it just felt right. It was everything we had imagined and more.

What truly confirmed we made the right choice was how smoothly everything ran on the day. Emma and Matt were absolutely fantastic – they were always there when we needed them, but never intrusive. Their presence was calm and reassuring, and they made sure everything unfolded exactly as planned.

Communication throughout the entire planning process was exceptional. Emma was always quick to respond to our questions, no matter how small, and she made us feel completely supported every step of the way. That level of care and professionalism made a world of difference.

The barn itself is stunning – beautifully maintained with a perfect balance of rustic charm and elegance. The grounds provided the perfect backdrop for our photos, and so many of our guests commented on how breathtaking the venue was.

Valleyside Barn gave us the wedding we envisioned – relaxed, beautiful, and filled with love. We’re so grateful to Emma and Matt for helping make it all happen, and we couldn’t recommend the venue more highly.
