Hawkstone Hall & Gardens offers the perfect combination of character, charm, and natural beauty. The 18th-century country mansion offers far stretching views across the rolling hills of the Shropshire countryside and onwards to the Welsh valleys.
Hawkstone Hall’s rural location, blended with custom-designed, elegant decor throughout provides the most breath-taking backdrop! For the shoot we experimented with block colours, juxtaposing contemporary, asymmetric florals with the classic architecture of this country mansion in the glorious English countryside.
We wanted to highlight just how special and luxurious an elopement celebration can feel even with minimal decor, particularly when the details and location are chosen in an intentional, meaningful way. For the outfits, we were inspired by playful trends à la Coco Chanel, for the modern bride wanting to be both elegant and comfortable at the same time. We chose a monochromatic palette with crisp white, black, and gold detailing – we wanted it to feel timeless, but a little bit bold too!
Our fashion picks were very Coco Chanel inspired with a wedding dress by Halfpenny London and headpieces by Awon Golding. Asymmetric florals that matched the architecture of the building were by Botanics and perfectly complemented our sartorial choices.
This shoot is special and luxurious with minimal decor. The luxury of the building and decor details speak for themselves and we wanted to compliment it, rather than decorate it!
