Minterne House

Thank you so much for allowing us to host our wedding at Minterne House. As the location of our ‘blind date’ meeting three years before, it made the perfect venue and is a very special place, not only for us, but now our families and friends too. We greatly appreciated your help throughout, in the planning stages, setting up during the days before, helping to make the whole day run seamlessly, and clearing up the next day, meaning we could enjoy the day knowing that the rest was in safe hands. We have treasured memories of our wedding at Minterne, and thank you once more for your help in making this happen.

The first time we visited Minterne House, it was a miserable rainy day in January – despite the weather, we knew it was perfect. The house is absolutely breathtaking and steeped in history, but it still has a comforting, homely feel.

We took advantage of the beautiful interior and had our wedding breakfast inside. The high ceilings and double-height windows made it feel beautifully open and airy. With 90 guests, it felt wonderfully intimate at the same time. We took advantage of the balcony and staircase to make an entrance into our wedding breakfast, which felt incredibly unique.

The reception rooms and front lawn are both perfect options for the drinks reception, so whether it’s sunny or rainy, it’s utterly perfect.

Along with using the main house, we also had guests in Lady Jane’s Apartment and Churchill House. Both are beautifully designed (with extremely comfortable beds) and have everything you could wish for – including rather delicious biscuits!

The whole team were incredibly accommodating, Lord Digby was always on hand for the duration of our stay – whether it be wifi or heating questions.

Finally, our day wouldn’t have been as spectacular without the phenomenal support of Emily (Emily Rose Wedding and Events), Minterne House’s Wedding Planner. From liaising with all of our suppliers, to setting up our time plan, to answering all of our questions in the lead up she was just incredible.

On the day it felt like having a friend guide us through the various moments and make sure all was on track. Everything was completely perfect, and we couldn’t have wished for a better day with a better team!

Thank you so much for all of your help and support in the planning and run up to Helen and Paul’s wedding. Everything went off incredibly smoothly and I cannot think of a single thing we would have changed.

A huge thank you to the team at Minterne for everything both in the lead-up but also on the day It simply was everything we could hope for and more, and Emily and the team’s efforts were instrumental in making A & W’s special day, so memorable Minterne have a unique and special offer to provide, but the team’s willingness to help, assist even with the most mundane jobs really stood out. The feedback from guests has been amazing. Once again, thank you so much.

This is to say a huge thank you for making our wedding at Minterne House such an immensely special occasion. We really could not have hoped for more in any way.

We loved every minute of our wedding, Minterne House was so beautiful and welcoming. The atmosphere at Minterne instantly put everybody in a relaxed and happy mood.

We couldn’t have hoped for a better venue to celebrate our wedding than Minterne House, it was the perfect setting for our big day. We both feel that what really made the day special, wasn’t just the spectacular surroundings, but the warm and friendly welcome extended to us and all our guests. Providing a professional but relaxed service, the day flowed with ease, and meant we were free to enjoy every moment. I only wish we could do it all again!

This letter is to thank you for making our Wedding Day possible. Had it not been for you, we would not have had such a perfect venue for the reception. Everybody who came said that it was one of the best weddings they had been to. Thank you for all your kindness, guidance, help and advice in making not only our day possible, but making it so special for Vivvy, as after all, it was her day.

I got married in October at Minterne House, and it was outstanding! The house and the grounds are breathtakingly beautiful, and it was the perfect setting for our Autumn wedding. Lord Digby and the wonderful staff who helped out made us feel very at home when we spent the wedding weekend there. They were all so kind and accommodating, and any issues that may have cropped up were covered, and the day went so smoothly! They went above and beyond and every wish that I had for the day was granted by them, which you don’t get at a lot of venues. The accommodation on site is fantastic for guests – it was amazing having the wedding party and family on site the whole weekend. Every guest spoke about how stunning the venue was and marvelled at the incredible history of the house. Minterne House is truly one of a kind and will hold a place in my heart forever. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making our day so memorable and special!

Minterne was relatively new to the wedding industry when we booked it back in 2021 following many failed COVID-effected dates with our original venue, and so finding Minterne was a true aligning of the stars. I cannot express how wonderful the team are. We truly felt welcomed by Lord Digby and his team into his home as special guests. This venue is not a wedding factory – they will make you feel at home and do everything they can to make your day the best day they can. From accommodating our toddler to the most impressive breakfasts to helping find a string quartet the day before the wedding when the original group cancelled(!), to the genuine care that the venue managers had to get it right for us. They accommodated our requests so happily and it was a relief to hear “yes” rather than “no” as we had done from our original venue. The guests all said how stunning the venue was (in fact, some said it was the best they’d ever seen), and the fact that 40 of the guests could stay on the estate was just amazing. Every room received a box of chocolates and a handwritten card welcoming them – this is 5* accommodation service. We honestly feel a bond to the estate now, and we hope to rent a cottage there for our first anniversary. PS there is even a pool for guests staying the morning of the wedding! Thank you!

The most stunning venue and gardens, this location truly is magical, and we had the best wedding day here with the sun shining and surrounded by stunning countryside views. The grounds are beautiful and the house is so smart it really is something special. We stayed in the flat within the house and it was so clean and spacious it had everything we needed and so handy for the big day. The bridal suite was gorgeous, with even more beautiful views across the gardens and lawn felt like something from a period drama! The wedding planner, Emily, was amazing and so helpful from start to finish, professional and friendly. She was straight back to us when we needed her and made sure everything was perfect for us. We had an incredible experience and just want to do it all over again now! Guests and friends have commented on how amazed they were by the venue’s beauty and uniqueness, and the day, as a whole, was seamless. Wish we could do it all over again! Thank you
