On Saturday 7th August 2021 we got married at Casterton Grange and had a weekend never to be forgotten with 30 of our closest family and friends.

We had a BBQ on the Friday night for all our guests to meet and reunite. This included adults mixing on the outside terrace and in the kitchen/diner, the kids playing on the tennis courts and the dog running round the estate grounds in his element! Everyone stayed at the estate for the two nights; in the main house, cottage and barn. They all commented on their beautiful rooms which were all decorated to a very high standard. We had both the wedding ceremony and reception in the main house and partied into the early hours.

We can’t thank Anneka enough, from all the planning and suggestions months in advance, keeping in touch with us regularly with updates, to ensuring the weekend itself went smoothly, she completely went out her way for us. She acquired a last minute tie for a guest who forgot his and even cleaned a shirt 5 minutes before the ceremony after he discovered a mark on the collar. Anneka was there ensuring everything was perfect!!

It was honestly the best weekend we could have imagined, small intimate weddings are the way forward!! We initially had the “big white wedding” planned for June 2020 in a church and venue in Manchester, then booked a smaller wedding at Casterton for September 2020 which also had to be postponed due to further lockdowns. Although we could have had the “big wedding” this time round, we knew we had found something special and wouldn’t have had it any other way. We were extremely lucky to come across Casterton Grange.

We recently celebrated our wedding at Casterton Grange and couldn’t recommend it more highly. We were looking for an intimate wedding venue where we could have the place to ourselves for a weekend and where all our guests could stay in one place. From the moment we arrived at CG we both knew it was the perfect place for us! Anneka was so helpful and helped arrange the whole wedding, from coordinating with the church to caterers and confetti! We couldn’t have done it all without you. We celebrated with a black tie dinner on the Friday on the terrace, the wedding day at a local church and then back to the house for various festivities and then late night dancing! Sunday we had a BBQ and then watched England lose on penalties in the euros final! The estate is so welcoming and really was our home for the weekend. Anneka was very relaxed and allowed us to enjoy everything to the max. It was really everything we could have dreamed of. All our guests said it was the best wedding they have ever been to and will be coming back to Casterton Grange for holidays. Thanks so much Anneka and we can’t wait to come back for our next party!

We spent an absolutely fabulous 3 days at Casterton Grange for our son’s wedding.

From the very outset, we knew this was a very special place. Anneka the host was so friendly and caring, nothing was too much trouble. The beautiful gardens and surroundings accompanied by two lovely white horses, just watching them made you so relaxed. It was like an enchanted castle where your cares and worries drifted away.

All the staff were so helpful. The interior and rooms, as you can see in the photographs, are stunning. To sum up location. Casterton Grange and staff – to quote Joanna Lumley again Absolutely Fabulous. Making it a visit we will never forget.

Wow, where to start?! Our wedding at Casterton Grange was beyond our wildest dreams.

We made a weekend of it and loved having all 30 of our guests stay for the entire weekend, which gave us plenty of time to make the most of the full estate and do loads of activities – archery, tennis, badminton, garden games, snooker, hot-tubs, yoga, wild swimming, country walks, and even a murder mystery! Everyone was blown away by how beautiful the house, cottages and grounds are. Everything feels so luxurious (like the world’s most comfortable bedding!) but still somehow completely homely and unpretentious.

We got married outside on the terrace, with the most beautiful aisle through the garden. It all felt so natural and intimate – just perfect! Then we had our drinks reception surrounded by flowers in the walled garden, followed by dinner in the wonderfully light & bright dining room (catered by Foray – absolute superstars, recommended by Anneka). We then danced the night away in the orangery. It was a perfect day, within a perfect weekend.

Anneka was fantastic – she found us some wonderful suppliers and made sure everything ran perfectly down to the last detail, even fluffing my dress before I walked down the aisle! Her eye for style is fabulous – you can completely trust her to make everything look amazing. Holly was also on hand to help in any way possible – doing the behind the scenes jobs to keep the house looking great all weekend, and always lovely to chat to!

Casterton Grange is a truly special place. The privacy it offers made our wedding feel so intimate and magnified the emotion of the whole weekend. It really felt like our home for the weekend and it will always hold a very special place in our hearts.

Our wonderful photographer, Tiree Dawson, first told us about Casterton Grange in our hunt for the perfect wedding venue. We arranged a visit and instantly fell in love… Casterton strikes the perfect balance between being the grand, elegant country house it is and being a warm and welcoming family home. We spent a magical week in the main house on the run up to our wedding with our friends and family. Patrick and Anneka went above and beyond to make sure our every need was met during our stay, paving the way for what culminated in the wedding day of our dreams. We watched with wonder whilst under the guidance of our superstar wedding planner Emma, the house was transformed on our wedding day into the most perfect space to exchange our vows. The beauty of the house and gardens offered up a never ending list of options for amazing wedding pictures and the grounds were just perfect for the wedding party tipi we’d dreamed of! The only down side of a stay at Casterton is that you’ll genuinely never want to leave. We can’t think of a more perfect way of celebrating our anniversaries though, than returning here in the years to come.

After doing the rounds of mainstream wedding venues and finding they were all booked up for foreseeable we stumbled across Casterton Grange and never looked back.
The intimacy and flexible space that the estate offers cannot be matched elsewhere and truly allowed us to create a wedding that was personal to us. Every angle of the estate is stunning, with so many picturesque backdrops this is the perfect venue for entertaining. The house is equipped with everything you could ever need for your staycation. From the moments guests arrived on Friday evening guests were blown away by the beauty of the Grange and by check out on Monday we still couldn’t bring ourselves to leave.
Anneka and Patrick are the perfect hosts, assisting in the run up to our wedding and couldn’t do enough for us during the weekend.

We got married at Casterton Grange Estate at the start of September, and it was an incredible weekend, better than we could have ever dreamed of. We had a marquee on the grounds next to the stunning walled gardens. It was the ideal setting and all of our guests were blown away. The whole weekend was perfect from start to finish. The size of the venue meant that all of our family and bridesmaids stayed at the venue – which they all loved. It felt like our home away from home. Patrick and Anneka were so accommodating and welcoming, they truly made us feel so relaxed. We had a smaller event on Sunday with a band outside on the terrace and an extra large rounders game on the field. The hot tubs were an amazing touch, which all of our family and friends got use of. We never wanted to leave and will definitely be back for special events in the future. Thank you so much Anneka and Patrick.

Wow! What can we say, thank you for making our wedding everything we’d hoped for and more. We decided to make a weekend of it rather than just one day. From the moment we met Anneka and Patrick (during lockdown) their hospitality, flexibility and attention to detail has been impeccable, they made every request possible. Not only did they run the house rental, which somehow made it feel like it was our own, they ran our wedding weekend faultlessly. Beautiful clean rooms with comfortable beds, luxurious bedding and toiletries were a huge hit with our guests. The house is like your own, which is exactly how we wanted our wedding to feel. To be able to marry in the immaculate gardens was perfect, and all our guests said it was the best wedding they’d attended. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We shall definitely return in the future

We both had the best and most magical weekend of our lives at Casterton Grange. From the moment we met Anneka and then she showed us around the house and gardens, we instantly fell in love and knew it was going to be something rather special. All the disappointment from our previous wedding plans being cancelled completely lifted and Anneka’s ‘can do’ attitude was such a breath of fresh air. Nothing was too much to ask and she made us feel so welcome from the start.

We had a couple of visits to Casterton Grange before the big weekend to go through our plans with Anneka and each time we walked into the house it felt like walking into a family home – so welcoming, super cosy and a feeling we hadn’t felt walking into any other wedding venue.

The day itself ran like clockwork but at the same time felt so natural and we didn’t at any time feel rushed. Anneka and the team were always so helpful, from recommending suppliers before the day (like the amazing Bruno who cooked up THE most delicious tapas and paella for us!) to making sure everything was perfectly in it’s place on the day. It was clear that Anneka understood our ‘vision’ as everything looked just stunning and the attention to detail was incredible!

It was so special to be able to have all our guests staying at Casterton Grange – they all loved the intimacy it created and those who were strangers on the Friday, were best of friends by the time we had to say our goodbyes on the Monday.

The wedding blues were definitely real, it shows just how much of an amazing time we had and is a credit to the amount of time and effort Anneka put into planning our weekend with us. Looking back, there isn’t a single thing we would change about our weekend (other than remembering to eat more food…!) and we will be eternally grateful to Casterton Grange for helping us to make memories that will stay with us forever.

We have just spent the weekend at The Carterton Grange Estate celebrating our daughter’s wedding. This is such a stunning place, it’s hard to find enough words to describe it! None of us wanted to leave. The venue has everything you could wish for, including tennis courts, a lake, hot tubs, none of which we had time to use and a snooker room which was most certainly put to use! Each bedroom is individually styled, with the largest and most comfortable beds and superb en-suites. Chef Bruno Birkbeck @ Northcote prepared the most wonderful meals and ensured none of us went hungry! Anneka, the host, is wonderful! She made every single one of our party, which consisted of 26 adults, 5 children, 2 babies and dog Yogi, felt welcome and at home. Nothing is too much trouble for her! She is there when you need her (a dab hand at removing lipstick from The Father of the Bride’s shirt, 15 mins before the wedding) and constantly supervising when you don’t even know she’s there! Anneka is the dream host. We would highly recommend this stunning venue for any family celebration.

Intimate Wedding

My wife and I were recently married and held our reception/accommodated our wedding party at The Casterton Grange Estate, we had the most perfect weekend with our nearest and dearest.

Anneka and the team took care of our every need, and we really couldn’t have asked for better hosts.

The estate itself is well maintained and offers a nice mix of mod-cons against the backdrop of a traditional and grand aesthetic. The venue differs from more “custom built” wedding locations as you really do have the place to yourself and are made to feel at home without the feeling of being rushed through for the next wedding due in the following day.

We could have stayed there for a week and couldn’t have asked for a better weekend, we’ll definitely return in the future and wish the guys there all the best.

The most beautiful wedding venue, and the perfect place for our English Indian Wedding! Honestly the most beautiful venue, and in addition Anneka was very flexible, supportive and helped ensure the most magical weekend. The suppliers she recommended were also excellent, and we used so many of her recommendations. Everyone who stayed on site loved the facilities, and we had the best time! Highly recommend Casterton for weddings or otherwise! Hoping to be back in the future!
