Hello from Alrewas Hayes

If you fancy a road trip this weekend, then the venue are throwing open their doors on Sunday 19th January for their Wedding Open Day!

Toby and I have always had a love of hosting parties and so it was a natural step for us to open Alrewas Hayes as an events venue for others to enjoy. We entered the world of weddings in 2009 when we recognised that there was a gap in the market in our little village of Alrewas for a beautiful, country house wedding venue.

I love helping every Alrewas Hayes couple to create a tailor-made, exclusive day just for them and welcoming them into our home for the weekend. It feels a huge privilege to be part of such a special occasion.

We have an abundance of versatile event spaces on offer, which means that we are able to accommodate from 50 to 650 guests, which is a huge scale. While the Great Barn can accommodate large-scale celebrations, The Lakeside can be used for more intimate weddings.

Typically, civil ceremonies take place in The Orangery. Bathed in natural light and with a flourish of period touches throughout, The Orangery brings an air of elegance to every occasion. We are not licensed for outdoor weddings, but we are able to accommodate beautiful, non-legal marital blessing ceremonies in The Courtyard. Alternatively, the doors of The Orangery open out on to the outdoor space, making it equally suitable for those warm summer months.

I like to think that The Courtyard is at the heart of our country house; it is a peaceful oasis offering guests calm and seclusion. In the summer, it’s a great space for reception drinks and evening nibbles, and during the cooler months we offer a choice of indoor areas to gather for drinks with guests.

Overlooking the estate’s private lake, woodlands and wheat fields is The Lakeside. This is an amazing, blank canvas marquee space which can accommodate from 60 to 220 guests and can be transformed for a larger civil ceremony, a beautiful wedding breakfast or late-night dancing.

Over the past decade we have recognised the importance that state-of-the-art production can have on bringing an event to life. Consequently, we have invested significantly in world-class lighting, sound and staging systems which allows us to bring a new level of production possibilities to any event. This is housed in the Great Barn, which can accommodate from 220 to 650 guests. Reminiscent of a cool airport hanger from the outside yet sleek and contemporary on the inside, we like to think it’s a place where the unimaginable is possible and over the years we’ve hosted some incredible events here!

As the night draws in, our in-house barman Tom is ready to get the party started at Williams Bar. Sloe and Mulberry Royale, Vesper Martini and Marmalade Mule are just a few of our favourite signature cocktails available from our drinks cabinets, which are mixed for you as you wait. If these aren’t for you, we are fully stocked with specially selected spirits, ales, beers and fine wines.

Something that is very important to us here at Alrewas Hayes is the belief that every guest should enjoy an exceptional dining experience. We have a wide choice of menus available, from gourmet fine dining to informal sharing platters, all created by our highly trained team of expert chefs and inspired by seasonal dishes that bring out the beauty in every ingredient.

As the night draws in, we have 11 bedrooms to complement the exceptional experience you will receive whilst here.

Pricing & Packages

We want to provide our couples with a beautiful, exclusive country house setting where they can escape from the everyday and have the time of their lives. We also try to ensure that each event is a personal, tailor-made experience just for them.

Venue hire includes exclusive use of the Great Barn, The Lakeside and Grade II listed Entertainment Wing comprising of three ground floor reception rooms (The Orangery, The Lobby and the Williams Bar) and the beautiful enclosed Courtyard Gardens.

For 2020, prices will range between £1,900 – £6,750 depending on what time of year you choose to marry.

Our catering prices vary depending on the type of menu you choose. As a guide, our Classic Menu starts from £60pp for three courses.

To help turn your event into a sensational showcase, we have a huge range of state-of-the-art production facilities. From uplighters and 3D image mapping to dance floor projections, our team of in-house production technicians will work with you to translate your ideas into a stunning design solution. We also have audio systems which promise spectacular, crisp sound in every corner of the room. Wireless microphones, speakers, amplifiers and AV systems are available throughout our venue, alongside flat screens and digital projectors.

Planning Tip!

The venue you choose for your wedding day is completely personal to you and can very much be an instinctive, emotional decision. From a logistical point of view, you’ll need to ensure it can accommodate your guest numbers, is conveniently located and has good accommodation either at the venue or nearby.

You’ll know instantly when you find the one and once you have this in place, the rest of your wedding plans will follow.
