For outdoor ceremonies, couples often choose The Hide, a secluded spot within Bore Place’s stunning gardens. With handmade oak benches seating 120 guests and a charming shelter for exchanging vows, The Hide provides a serene and intimate space for your special moment.
The 17th-century Large Barn offers a warm, inviting space for wedding receptions. It accommodates up to 110 guests for a seated wedding breakfast and up to 140 for an evening party. Decorated with fairy lights strung across the wooden beams, this rustic space can also be personalised with your own décor to make it uniquely yours. Tables and chairs are included in the package.
Bore Place provides ample accommodation for your guests, ensuring your celebration can stretch across an entire weekend. The Jacobean manor house, Small Barn, cottages, and Old Stables can host up to 68 guests. For those seeking something a little different, shepherd huts and yurts above the organic kitchen gardens offer additional accommodation for up to 14 guests, all with sweeping views of the surrounding hills.
Bore Place invites you to create your own menu with a selection of carefully chosen food partners who align with the estate’s values. These caterers are skilled in preparing bespoke menus that cater to any dietary requirements, with an emphasis on vegetarian and vegan options. There is no corkage fee, allowing you the freedom to bring your own drinks, which the caterers will gladly serve.
Sustainability lies at the heart of Bore Place. As winners of the Sustainable Wedding Alliance Awards 2024, the estate’s commitment to eco-friendly practices is long-standing. From organic farming to green energy initiatives and water treatment systems, Bore Place continues to evolve with a strong focus on reducing its environmental impact. The estate’s approach also includes educating guests on sustainability and ensuring that every event is as green as possible.
Although set in tranquil countryside, Bore Place is easily accessible. It is just a short drive from the A21 and M25, with train links to London available at nearby Sevenoaks. Its secluded feel is perfectly balanced with its convenient location, making it an ideal setting for local and travelling guests.
So many of our guests were (unsurprisingly) raving about Bore Place. Such a fantastic place and amazing team. Thanks so much!
Absolutely first class from booking to completion, all backed by great communication and service.
Bore Place was perfect. We had been looking for a wedding venue for a while; as a mixed couple, we wanted our wedding to reflect both cultures. When I found Bore Place and its weekend booking option and plenty of rooms for guests, we went to see it straight away. I think the second we pulled into the drive, we knew it was the place for us. The location, the setting—it’s just stunning. We booked almost immediately!
What I loved about Bore Place was that it allowed us to create a village-like atmosphere for a few days; people arrived on Friday and were not leaving till Monday. Everyone was staying onsite, and from the off you could tell that the informal, relaxing atmosphere we had wanted was what the venue gave us. There were big open spaces for people to do as they wished and plenty of beautiful indoor spaces in the main house to gather, chat, and get to know each other.
Bore Place staff are just incredible. The staff (special shout-outs to Ana and Neil, but also the people we didn’t see or meet) are just so chilled out. Nothing was too big an ask. They made everything easy and stress-free. We just loved everything about the place, the team that runs the events, and mostly their attitude. I hope many more couples get to experience what we did. We couldn’t have asked for a better weekend, we’ll never forget it. If you come across Bore Place, just book it!
One last thing to say about Bore Place: they’re an amazing charity. The work they do with local communities and nature projects is truly inspirational, we always wanted to give our money to a good cause; we definitely found it here.

Wedding Coordinator Sue’s support from the moment we first enquired to the day after the wedding itself was incredible, and her relaxed and accommodating approach enabled us to shape the day exactly as we wanted it.
Bore Place is one of those magical places that you would be lucky to stumble upon for your wedding. What a weekend it was! And a large part of how special it was is down to the venue and staff that run Bore Place. Everyone was so impressed with the venue. The grounds are something out of a fairytale: beautiful gardens, flowers, and a spectacular pond where we had our drinks reception. There’s a gorgeous lawn where we set up lawn games and bell tents just outside the house. The house and accommodation are the perfect level of nicely done but not too overly perfect, giving a sense of character and history. As we married in a Church, we used The Hide for music performed by family members and speeches, which worked a treat. The barn was the ideal canvas for decoration; with the bar downstairs, it was all perfect.
Bore Place give you the option of four caterers – use Home Gurr’own, and you will not regret it. Sustainability is important to us and the lengths that Bore Place have gone to to reinvest in the land and the local community only makes this place even more worth it.
Ana was a dream to work with in the lead-up, and Neil, the caretaker, was above and beyond what we expected on the weekend. One of the loveliest men we have come across; polite, chatty, and nothing was a problem. When we arrived, it felt like Ana and Neil took away all the stress that had built up in the lead-up to the day. We had forgotten some signage; Ana found us some we could use. We were still to work out a PA system for the speeches, Neil ran a cord and set it up in both the barn and the Hide. We wanted to eat outside on Friday, and the caterers set up tables and laid out a feast for us.
I cannot stress how good this place is for a wedding venue. We absolutely loved every minute of being there and are already trying to work out how to stay for a family reunion or something when it’s not being used for a wedding!

Richard’s food was really amazing! Many of the guests commented on how delicious it was, and our vegetarian guests said it was the best food they’ve ever eaten at a wedding.
Oh my goodness, it was everything and more we could have ever hoped it to be. The venue truly is beautiful and wonderful. It was the best day and the best welcome we could have had to married life. It was a joy and pleasure to be married at Bore Place and for anyone who is looking for a venue should look no further.

The venue is stunning and the organisation and help provided by Sue, the wedding coordinator, and all of the other staff was brilliant. We loved every second of it and would highly recommend Bore Place to anyone.
From the first time we saw Bore Place, we fell in love with its beauty, its eco-friendly ethos, and the fact we could have people stay all weekend. We only looked at one venue as we didn’t need to see any others! The accommodation was clean and comfortable, the breakfast food left for us was brilliant and it’s just all maintained so well. The photos are stunning because of the beautiful grounds, and thank you for accommodating a wonderful meal on the Friday night. Communication with you has been excellent throughout, and we will be recommending the venue to anyone looking to get married. I’m sure we will be back to visit in one way or another, maybe a yoga retreat! Thanks again for your support to make the day so special.

No, we don't.
Absolutely. We want you to make the day and the space feel like yours and be exactly as you want. We only stipulate that you keep our sustainable agenda in mind and avoid, for example, plastic flowers. Equally, the house, barn, and gardens look lovely as they are and can easily be left with very few additions.
We ask that live music end at midnight and guests who aren't staying on-site depart then. Guests staying at Bore Place are very welcome to continue the party back at the main house or enjoy a late-night drink around the fire pit.
There is overnight accommodation for 65 in the Bore Place properties, with an additional 14 Glamping.
We produce 50% of our energy, recycle our rubbish on site, clean our properties with biomaterials only, collect and use rainwater for our gardens and to flush our toilets, and encourage couples to use natural and recycled materials.
Our catering partners use locally sourced, organic food and prepare delicious vegan dishes.
We have many wildflower areas, and together with our on-site ecologist, we have increased our biodiversity and created stunning areas for couples' photo shoots.
