Rustic Luxe Styled Shoot at Rivervale Barn

Written by Emma Hla

I’m so excited to be showing off Rivervale Barn on the blog today with this yummy seasonal styled shoot by Hannah McClune Photography.

Rivervale is a contemporary green oak wedding barn on the banks of the River Blackwater in Yateley, Hampshire. Full of natural charm and elegance, this wedding venue was built with beautiful wedding ceremonies and receptions in mind.

Just take a look…

Hannah:

Inspired by the natural countryside environment surrounding Rivervale Barn, Lily’s Flowers created a wonderful fairytale setting complete with trees and mossy knolls. In love with the copper and gold metallic trend, they combined the fabulous English hydrangeas with copper leaf pears and artichokes to complete the rustic look. The use of corn, hazel and wood slices alongside the crystal and Mercury glass gave us a glamorous edge to this woodland creation.

The hair & make up had a soft elegant look; Liz kept the foundation glowing and flawless whilst eyes were defined with soft warming chocolate tones. The lip colour complimented the burgundy hues and the hair was softly twisted into a loose bun.

Our bride wore Charlotte Balbier’s princess gown ‘Lilac’ from the Willa Rose collection, from Sophie Grace Bridal Boutique. Made from lace and tulle, with a sheer lace back and delicate crystal buttons. Completing the look is a single tier veil in Italian tulle with delicate diamanté scatters, complimented by a pale gold tiara, an utterly romantic touch.

Melissa created a sleek and modern four tier cake with a square copper base tier and a further three clean round tiers. Lily’s Flowers styled the cake beautifully with stunning gilded fruit and Autumnal beech leaves for an impactful yet simple seasonal look.

Victoria was able to keep the emphasis on a simple yet striking theme for the stationery by using a mixture of classic script and clear, modern fonts in deep chocolate brown set against a background of pale ivory. Quality, heavyweight card with a subtle texture was used throughout and gold envelopes completed the look by adding a tiny touch of glamour in keeping with the occasion.

The Chair Dressing Company took inspiration from the ethereal style wedding dress and the woodland setting to create the rather whimsical detail for the chair dressings. Natural fibres with whispy muslin drapes on the backs of the chairs, tied with copper wire and a trail of ivy.

Our groom wore the popular black tux suit with the slim fitting white shirt. Adding braces gave a modern, yet formal groom’s look. The deep burgundy silk bow tie added opulence and tied in with the hydrangea flowers that featured through out the day.
