The Setting

Twyning Park is a Grade II listed manor house overlooking the beautiful river Avon just outside Tewkesbury on the border of Gloucestershire and Worcestershire. The house is in an imposing position set in 5 acres of beautiful gardens, grounds and river meadow, with views of the river and surrounding countryside. Twyning Park feels like you could be in the middle of nowhere, yet at just 2 miles from the M5 junction 8 and 1 mile from the M50 junction 1 is easily accessible.

Twyning village is very pretty, with lovely walks through the countryside and along the river to Tewkesbury. In the warmer months a ferry also runs between Twyning and Tewkesbury. There are two fabulous pubs – The Village Inn and The Fleet both of which serve good food and are ideal for dinner the night before the big day. There are also plenty of accomodation options for guests nearby.

The Vibe

Twyning Park is a grand family home that becomes yours exclusively for the duration of your celebration.

There are only a small number of weddings held per year at Twyning Park. This maintains their exclusivity and allows the venue to work with their couples to create a celebration that is bespoke, unique and completely personal. They actively encourage creativity and love a wedding that is a little bit different.

They work with some incredibly talented and award-winning suppliers in the industry and think they have created a fantastic wedding team. However couples are not limited to their recommended suppliers list and are free to provide their own.

The house and grounds provide opportunites for both small and large gatherings. The formal lawn by the main house and the river meadow on the bank of the river Avon, are both beautiful settings for marquee and tipi weddings. The house has a wealth of interesting features and there are little treasures to be found in each room – oak panelling, feature fireplaces, ornate cornicing to name a few.

The Drawing room boasts huge windows, ornate detailing and an Adams fireplace. It has space for 25 guests when used as a ceremony room. The Long room is much simpler in contrast. With white walls, double doors onto the terrace and four huge oak apexes, this room is truly a blank canvas and can seat up to 70 guests when used as a ceremony room.

The house currently has 4 beautiful bedrooms with luxury ensuites or bathrooms. Extra beds and cots can be provided if requested. 3 further bedrooms will be available in 2018.

They normally reccomend a three day hire period in order to allow for setting up, the all important styling and a good nights sleep the night before. The big day, and then the morning after get together and fuss free packing away by suppliers. This is just a guide and shorter or extended hire periods are all possible.
