The Setting

Hidden in the heart of Perthshire you will find the Byre at Inchyra. It’s infinitely more than a relaxed wedding barn venue, because you can make their 150-acre private estate your own. Light up the parkland as an enchanted forest, marry indoors or out, celebrate in their beautiful Walled Garden, walk up the beautiful Apple Tree Aisle or go glamping – at Inchyra, you’re free to plan your day right down to the last detail, just the way you’d love it to be.

About an hour from both Glasgow and Edinburgh, The Byre is so easy to reach but feels away from it all. Perth is only 10 minutes away, with a host of hotel and restaurant options and a good train service. Edinburgh airport is 45 minutes by car.

The Vibe

The Byre at Inchyra provides an exclusive venue like no other – with a stunning rustic barn sitting in the parkland of a beautiful historic house. Wedding bookings at Inchyra stretch to three days so that you can have a day to make the venue your own, the day of the wedding itself and then time to leave slowly.

At the heart of every wedding at Inchyra is the Byre itself. The heart-warming rustic atmosphere belies the fact that this barn wedding venue is hi-tech and fully equipped, giving you everything you need for an unforgettable celebration. The beauty’s in the detail… right down to the Farrow & Ball paintwork emphasising the original 1877 character. You’re encouraged to make your mark on this beautiful blank canvas barn.

The Byre is firstly somewhere that is hugely relaxed – but that doesn’t mean that they haven’t thought of everything for you. They include in the wedding hire absolutely everything that you need to hold a truly wonderful wedding up to the point where you start to choose the decoration, food, flowers – in other words, all the things that make the wedding about you.

The Byre can accommodate weddings of up to 180 guests and the Bride & Groom can marry anywhere on the estate, from the gorgeous rustic Stable Room in the Byre to the Walled Garden with its romantic aisle of ancient apple trees, to the grandeur of the front of the main house. The bride has the luxury of a beautiful bedroom in Inchyra House itself, family home of Lord and Lady Inchyra, where she can relax with her bridesmaids on the large antique French bed, sipping champagne while preparing for her wedding.

It is no exaggeration to say that wedding photographers consider Inchyra to be one of the best venues in Scotland with an abundance of romantic locations to choose from.

Two cottages on the estate are available for hire, sleeping up to a total of 12 guests and you are encouraged to stretch your stay into the third day, with perhaps a lunch or barbecue to extend the festivities.

One of Buzzfeed’s ‘24 Incredible Places Where You Can Get Married in Scotland’ and probably the only wedding venue to have had a Farrow & Ball colour especially created for it! Inchyra Blue launched in February this year.
