The Setting

Dunwell Farm is still primarily a working dairy, beef and sheep farm, set in 200 acres of land in South Devon. The venue is completely private, peaceful and exclusively yours for four days hire, perfect for a rustic, countryside wedding.

The views from the top of the field and campsite of Dartmoor are spectacular and the nearest beach is only a 20 minute drive away.

The Vibe

During the summer months the owners transform their lambing barn and adjacent field into a beautiful, licensed wedding venue.

There’s a campsite, bar, drinks marquee, miles of fairy lights and an experienced team of staff who will guide you from booking to the final song at the reception, curating your perfect wedding day.

You could write a book on how good this place is to host a wedding! If you are looking for a country wedding then forget everywhere else, Dunwell Farm is the one!

Based on an actual working farm you can chose however you want the place, barn style wedding, marquee in a field or both! We chose to use both and what a day it was. Pete and Libby couldn’t do more for us during the whole planning experience and then during the day they were there hand and foot trying to make the day the best experience they could! Their servers were smiling the whole day and couldn’t do enough for our guests. The bar staff were happy and drinks were cold!

We stayed in the campsite along with more of our guests were there is a lovely shower block and kitchen you can use which was cleaned during the day and then also for the morning after.

The transitions from the ceremony to breakfast to Dancefloor was seamless and our guests couldn’t get enough of how excellent the staff were whilst the transitions were going on. The whole day was made pretty much by Pete and Libby and their staff and we can’t thank them enough for everything they did. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Libby and Pete could not be any more friendly, helpful and professional. Many of us stayed overnight at their campsite, either in their own tents or in Dunwell’s own bell-tents and the barn and marquee were perfect. The wedding would have been a happy event wherever it was held, but Dunwell Farm made the day perfect.

High praise, you might think, but richly deserved.

Well what can I say about you guys? From the very start of our arrival on Friday afternoon you and Pete never stopped running around endlessly (I don’t know where you get the energy from) paying attention to every little detail. Your smile and personality are infectious and as a parent I was immensely proud of the way you both attended to our every need without us needing to ask and you made Rachel and Rob your number one priority. Don’t think I didn’t notice you guys running around in the background throughout the while weekend and indeed late into the night on Saturday (the big day). Again I can’t think of the words that could express my gratitude to you and your family for the part you played in one of the best days and experiences of my life. The farm, the campsite, the outlook and we even had the weather on our side. It could not have worked out so perfectly. I’ll be eternally grateful for all you did at our RaRaFest 2022.
