It’s beautiful.
June is the month we start to feel the warmth of summer days drifting our way and whilst the larger blooms start to make an appearance, there’s still a fleeting delicacy about this early part of the season.
I must admit, after reading Amber’s notes I became a little jealous of all you June Brides!
Read on and see why…
I love June, in fact if a Bride-to-be asks me which is my favourite month for flowers, without a moment’s hesitation I say June!
Firstly, there’s the English grown peonies – what could be more romantic than a simple but perfect bouquet of these voluptuous beauties? The season is short, only around six weeks, so if you have chosen to get married in June, boy are you lucky!
Then there are the first of the English scented roses and field grown sweet peas – fabulous and fragrant, the perfect combination.
For those coveting a relaxed cottage garden look for their nuptials then add to the above aquilegia, astrantias, cornflowers, foxgloves, love-in-the-mist, lavender and delphiniums and you have the most wonderful components for a floral extravaganza!
I told you this was seriously pretty…
Not only is Amber an uber-talented florist with just the most amazing eye for styling, but she’s also pretty great with a camera in hand. Just LOOK! I’m a sucker for a blush floral or two… or three.
