The Octagon can accommodate ceremonies and receptions for up to 240 guests. This stunning venue was built in 1888 and was originally the Queen Mary library, designed by Victorian architect ER Robson and inspired by the Reading Room at the British Museum. The domed ceiling reaches an impressive three storeys high and busts of famous literati surround the dome including Shakespeare, Wordsworth and Chaucer to name a few.
The Senior Common Room can accommodate ceremonies for up to 100 guests. This historical venue is located in the iconic Queens’ Building, overlooking the Queens’ Lawn and Victorian Clocktower. This exclusive use private members club offers harmony and serenity, providing you and your guests a very private location for your wedding ceremony.
They recognise that their menus may not suit all cultural requirements and therefore the Octagon is available to book on a ‘dry hire’ basis. Pre-approved external caterers are permitted into this incredible Grade II listed space, enabling you to create the wedding day of your dreams.
