There is a distinctive charm in the industrial heritage of The Venue at Bowers Mill. Set within the rolling Yorkshire countryside, this converted woollen mill offers a setting that merges the raw beauty of stripped wood floors, exposed brick, and wrought iron pillars with high ceilings and expansive rural views.
Three distinct spaces are available for wedding ceremonies:
- The Spinning Room: Once the heart of wool spinning, this room offers panoramic countryside views and retains features such as the original mill floor, cast iron pillars, and exposed brickwork. Ideal for ceremonies with up to 120 guests or a wedding breakfast for 100, it connects seamlessly to the Bowers Suite.
- Bowers Suite: This versatile space is perfect for larger ceremonies, accommodating over 120 guests. It is later transformed for the reception.
- Outdoor Pagoda: Situated beside the lake, the pagoda offers an idyllic outdoor option for up to 80 guests, making it ideal for summer weddings.
The Bowers Suite transforms effortlessly from ceremony to reception. Its industrial roots are reflected in features like large factory windows that bathe the room in natural light by day and create a warm glow at night. The space accommodates gatherings from 60 to 400 guests and can be divided into three sections with elegant drapes to create a theatrical reveal for guests. An outdoor private area is often used for drinks receptions and photography during summer.
Eleven well-appointed rooms are available just next door, providing a convenient and comfortable option for wedding guests. Operated independently but closely linked to The Venue, this accommodation is ideally situated for those celebrating at Bowers Mill.
A variety of packages cater to different tastes, offering options such as informal grazing menus or traditional wedding breakfasts. Canapés are included in most packages, and the in-house Venue Kitchen provides popular street food kitchen upgrades for evening fare.
The Venue Bowers Mill is centrally located between Manchester and Leeds, easily accessible via the M62. On-site car parking is available for guests.
