The Setting
The magnificent Painted Hall sits on the banks of the River Thames within the Old Royal Naval grounds.
The Painted Hall is their largest events space, and this jaw dropping room at the heart of the site accommodates up to 400 guests and allows your love to be celebrated under one of Europe’s most spectacular painted ceilings.
The Vibe
The Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich, is synonymous with regal charm, with numerous event spaces that are fitting for memorable celebrations. You can host an intimate ceremony and reception for 80 loved ones or a grand soirée for 400 guests.
Traditional religious ceremonies are held in The Chapel, a lofty space defined by James Stuart’s famed interiors and eighteenth-century rounded ceilings that promote excellent acoustics. Civil ceremonies are held in The Painted Hall, where culture emanates from every crevice and corner. Lofty ceilings, tall marble columns, and classic, large paintings characterise this majestic space.
Afterwards, when the weather permits, drinks parties are held outdoors in the Queen Mary Colonnades. The Painted Hall is transformed during this time to accommodate sophisticated wedding breakfasts and evening banquets, with entertainment and dance floor facilities provided for the festivities.
The Queen Mary Undercroft is an alternative place for cocktail receptions and can be accessed via an enchanting underground tunnel. Complete with high-vaulted ceilings, marble columns, and chandelier lighting, this is the perfect setting for elopements, micro weddings, and after-parties.
From here, your nearest and dearest can even join in a game of antique bowling at the Victorian Skittle Alley.
This is a wheelchair accessible venue with ample parking on-site for your guests’ convenience.
