The Setting

Constructed in 1838, The Battleaxes was originally built as a meeting place for the workers of the nearby Tyntesfield Estate.

Set in a characterful Grade II listed building along the main Bristol Road, The Battleaxes was lovingly, sympathetically, and imaginatively restored in September 2010. Exuding a playful eccentricity that is Cluedo country house meets traditional country pub.
