Perched high on the hillside, with views across the Beamish conservation valley, lies the Red Row Estate, a glorious 37-acre sprawl, rich in wildlife and home to the Black Horse Beamish, Orchard Marquee and quaint accommodation.

Boasting exceptional spaces both indoors and out, the family run Estate has a passion for creating incredible weddings and bespoke celebrations, each as individual as the couple at the heart of them. Beautifully restored, the 300 year old Black Horse Beamish Bar & Restaurant retains much of its original charm, while in its grounds sits The Orchard Marquee – one of only a few permanent marquees in the North East and winner of the ‘Best Pop Up Venue in the UK’ at the Wedding Awards 2018.

Add to this, elegant outdoors spaces in which to say ‘I do’, premier self-catered accommodation and an abundance of incredible photo opportunities, and it’s easy to see what makes the Red Row Estate distinctively different.

The Vibe

The 300-year-old George Ridley Room is set within the Black Horse Beamish. This is a magnificent room, complete with original stone walls, open fires, high ceilings and bare oak beams. Ideal for intimate ceremonies and receptions, catering from 30 – 80 guests.

Set within the grounds of the Red Row Estate sits the Orchard Marquee. This permanent marquee, surrounded by stunning English countryside and an apple orchard, offers a grand, light setting for larger wedding parties. Show-stopping eight-foot chandeliers, up lighting, and a fully integrated sound system makes The Orchard Marquee a model blank canvas space for the bride and groom looking to add their stamp to a venue.

Believing that guest numbers shouldn’t be capped on cost, as an exclusive benefit for those who host their weddings in The Orchard Marquee, up to 250 evening guests can be invited free of charge with no obligation to pay for the additional catering.

Taking a flexible and personal approach to all events, nothing is too much to ask the team; whether brides and grooms desire an open-air bar, dining with a difference, a helipad or even a fly by air show, they can accommodate.

The venue’s expert chefs excel in creating gastronomically show-stopping wedding menus, catering for anything from an intimate soirée to a grand banquet, with all dishes prepared using high quality, locally sourced ingredients.
