Cradled by the foothills of the Brecon Beacons, right on the banks of the River Usk, Penpont is a charming combination of mellowed grandeur, intimate scale and pastoral splendour – making it a very special wedding venue. The Grade I listed mansion house with its bath stone colonnade forms the centrepiece of an outstanding collection of buildings. Surrounding the buildings are 50 acres of grounds.
Penpont stables can accommodate up to 80 guests for a seated wedding reception. Wedding ceremonies can take place indoors, outdoors or in the beautiful Penpont Church. With accommodation for up to 22 guests, more if camping, a wedding at Penpont allows you the freedom to enjoy your celebration with friends and family over two or three days.
The Penpont ethos is to tread lightly upon the earth, to be sustainable and protect the delicate environment they manage. A wonderful selection of seasonal organic cut flowers are grown within the walled gardens of Penpont. Vina specialises in traditional cottage garden annuals, herbaceous blooms and roses and has been flower arranging for years and can offer bouquets, buttonholes and table arrangements using fresh flowers and greenery all grown at Penpont.
During your stay, you and your guests will be free to wander through the gardens – get lost in the Green Man Maze, lie in wild flower meadows, meet the topiary elephants, run round the racing labyrinth, wild swim in the river, play croquet – or just sit under starry skies as the bonfire warms you at the end of a perfect day!
