We love nothing more than turning an empty field or garden into the perfect wedding venue. As well as your Sperry or Tipi, you might need a generator to provide power, a catering tent for your caterers to prepare your wedding breakfast in, portable toilets and heaters if it gets cold.
We work in ALL weathers, we’ve seen the lot! But our tents are flexible and you can raise or lower the sides depending on what the British weather throws at us, so you’ll always remain cosy.
Having a Sperry or Tipi wedding means you’ll have a wedding venue completely unique to you, no two PapaKåta weddings look the same! We will set-up your tent 2-3 days before your wedding so you have (at the very least!) the day before your wedding to personalise the space.
Often our Bride & Grooms tell us that they loved the day before their wedding as much as the day of the wedding, because they spent time in the tents being creative with friends and family.
The furnishings and lighting you choose are so very important and can create a fabulous atmosphere which changes from day to night. We’ll talk through your perfect day and from that point we can work out the lighting and furnishings that will enhance the space and create the ambience to fit. This might include fairy lights, warm festoon bulbs, cosy sofa sets, farmhouse tables and so much more. Our in-house designer has worked over the years to create the perfect catalogue of interior items to enhance our tents and all available to hire.
How do I make sure everything fits!
Firstly we’ll come visit your site or chosen wedding venue and check the Sperry or Tipi fits perfectly, we’ll also look at access and whether we need a generator for power. We’ll also do other ‘health and safety’ checks on things like underground services, pooling water, to make sure there’s no surprises on ‘build day’! And then we’ll work with you to create an interior floor plan. Looking at how we can create different zones within the space for dining, relaxing, the bar and of course dancing!
We’ll have advised you beforehand how long the set-up will take and what time the crew will be arriving. And once they have worked their magic, you’ll have the perfect wedding venue ready to party in. Before we leave you, we’ll do a full handover. Showing you how to work the different elements, such as fire in the Tipi’s, raising sides if it’s warm, turning the heaters on, keeping the lighting at the optimum level and much more. It’s all very easy and one that people love to get stuck into!
