Choosing Merrydale Manor was the best decision we made, and our wedding was absolutely perfect, thanks to the amazing team. Driving through the gates is enough to blow you away, but what completely sold the venue to us was Michael and the rest of the Irlam family. Right from our first visit to Merrydale, the whole family worked so hard to give us the most perfect venue. We chose to hire the venue for 2 nights, to allow a dinner for close family and friends the night before our wedding. As soon as we arrived we were treated like royalty. What was evident to see, was how much they wanted our wedding to be perfect, just as much as we did. Nothing was too much of an ask. The fact that Merrydale is run by the Irlam family, really gives a lovely family feel and your wedding is evidently very important to them. Our day itself was what we can only describe as perfect, it was a dream come true. The ceremony room and Merrydale Suite looked like something out of a bridal magazine. The food and drinks were outstanding, and what really stood out was how smoothly everything ran. The guest’s rooms were absolutely beautiful, immaculate and of the highest standard. We can’t thank Michael, Hattie and the rest of the team enough, for making our wedding day so special.

We have just had the most perfect wedding day I could have wished for at Merrydale Manor. From the first time I saw the venue to the moment I left as newly-wed, you have been amazing. Michael and Hattie made us feel so comfortable whenever we visited and the team that worked with us throughout the day made everything so special. Thank you to all the staff and special thanks to Kirsty who worked tirelessly to make everything perfect so we didn’t have to. Ken who was an absolute pleasure to be around and who made everything run like clockwork and to Rosie who made sure our plates were pristine and our glasses were never empty.

My husband and I had our wedding reception at Merrydale Manor on Friday 6th March 2020, probably one of the last weddings here before lockdown! The team at Merrydale were fantastic from start to finish, and couldn’t do enough for us. From the very first time we turned up at Merrydale for out first viewing (over one hour late), Kirsty met us with a smile and showed us around. We knew instantly that this had to be where we got married. A few weeks later we revisited with our parents, who also fell in love with the venue as quickly as we did. Our day was flawless, and this is down to Kirsty, who went above and beyond as our wedding coordinator, she is fantastic and we cannot thank her enough! Stefan, The Tall Toastmaster also added to our day, helping things to run smoothly and on time. As Robbie my husband said in his speech, Merrydale, you really did give us the fairytale that we had dreamed of. So many of our guests have contacted me to say what a beautiful wedding venue we had, and what a fantastic day they had… even going as far as to say that it was the best wedding they have ever attended. So, thank you to Merrydale Manor and all of your staff (special shout-out to Kirsty) for helping to make our wedding day the best day of our lives!

Absolutely everything was incredible! We both fell in love with the look and feel of the venue over pictures alone and when we actually got to see the venue, we were absolutely blown away by the picturesque surroundings. The ‘Keys to the Manor’ was a perfect package for us and our requirements. The whole place has a magical feeling to it. My husband and I had both civil and Indian ceremonies which added to the complications of organising a wedding, however, they nailed both. People often ask us what was the best part of our wedding day and for both of us, the best part about the day was that we didn’t worry about anything. Kirsty and Stefan work very closely with the vendors they recommend and for good reason. Their operation is smooth and slick, the co-ordination they have with their staff and vendors is astonishing. It was an incredible feeling to know that we could relax and enjoy our day knowing everything was going smoothly and our guests were all enjoying themselves. We never had to keep track of time. All our guests had wonderful things to say. They commented on how unique and special our wedding venue was. Reflecting back on our special day I wouldn’t change a single thing. The venue was stunning, the staff were amazing and looked after us so well the whole day. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks and sincere gratitude to all the staff at Merrydale Manor and to all those involved in our gorgeous wedding – thank you for making our magical wedding day so very, very special.

Just coming down from cloud 9 following our absolutely perfect wedding last weekend at Merrydale Manor. We first visited over a year ago when Merrydale was still under construction and fell in love with the venue, the garden, the setting and the team. We can’t thank everyone at Merrydale enough – Michael, Hattie, Ken, Shelley and Barrett’s catering for the most wonderful and memorable day!! The garden is so beautiful and we were lucky enough to spend most of the day in the sunshine with our family and friends. We have had such lovely comments about the whole day and I couldn’t recommend this special place highly enough.

We got married at Merrydale Manor on 2nd August and honestly had the best day ever! From the start,​ there was great communication from the staff. Shelley was great at answering all of my questions and giving any recommendations we needed. On the day we had Kirsty looking after us, she rang us the day before to check through things and calm our nerves. She was an absolute star on the day and we felt so lucky to have her work with us! She sorted absolutely everything so that we could enjoy the day without worrying. So many of our guests are even still commenting on what a lovely venue it was! We were lucky with the weather to be able to enjoy the grounds well into the evening. It was such a magical day with every detail of the venue styled and looked after to such a high standard. The breakfast the next day was a lovely way to say goodbye to our guests and we didn’t feel rushed out at all even though there was a wedding that day. I would relive this day a million times over!

From the moment we drove up to the Manor I knew this was the place I was going to get married. When we stepped inside my breath was taken away with every room. Merrydale offers you glamour and is yet still timeless. The team throughout the planning process were able to help us every step of the way and our wedding day coordinator and toastmaster on the day were so fantastic and made the days events just a dream. I wish I could relive that fairytale day again!

Where do I start… I remember the first time going to visit Merrydale, before it was complete, and I still fell in love with it straight away. From the big entrance gates, the perfectly surrounding grounds, to making your way up to the house, everything was immaculate and we knew there and then that’s where we wanted to get married. Not only is Micheal Irlam one of the nicest men you will ever meet, right from the start he made sure nothing was too much of an ask. He made sure all of our family and friends felt welcome on any visit to Merrydale and catered for any of their needs. He was present all throughout our day and made sure it ran smoothly, you could tell every wedding is as important to them as a family. Shelley Jones who is part of the events team played a big part in the planning to our day, she took the stress right out of it and made it an enjoyable time for us. On the day Shelley & Ken (toastmaster) went above and beyond to make sure we needed for nothing, everything was perfect and stress-free from start to finish and even stayed with us until the end. On our actual wedding day, we can only describe it as breathtaking. The flowers and décor throughout the whole venue blew us away. Thank you for everything.

We got married at Merrydale Manor on 16th February 2020 and it was perfect. The venue is stunning, there has been a lot of thought put into how it is set up and decorated. ALL of the staff that work there are just amazing. They just made us all feel at home and ensured it all went to plan. I cannot thank them enough for ensuring our day ran smoothly and all the details we wanted were in place. Hattie, our main contact, was so wonderful dealing with all of the very many questions that I bombarded her with. Nothing seemed like it was too much trouble. At our meeting before the wedding, Hattie had everything documented and confirmed some of the finer details, again, nothing was too much trouble. Hattie put us at ease about how things would run during the day and it was obvious she and the team had everything under control. We were so excited about having our special day there. The day before the wedding we were able to drop some of the table decorations and wedding attire off. We arrived much later than planned but found that our wedding day coordinator, Kirsty, had come in on her day off and waited to meet us. From the moment we met Kirsty I knew we were in safe hands. She talked us through some aspects of the day, confirmed details we had spoken to Hattie about and just made us feel very welcome at the venue. The day of the wedding Kirsty was there from the start ensuring that everything, and I mean everything, ran smoothly. She made sure myself, the Groom and the wedding party had everything they needed and when the guests started to arrive looked after them too. She was an absolute superstar! Our wedding day at Merrydale Manor was so special and I will cherish the memories we have there and the staff there were a massive factor. Thank you again to all involved.

Wow! I’m not even quite sure where to start! We chose this for our dream wedding venue just from plans as when we visited for the first time it was a shell. From the first time driving through those gates, seeing the shell but most importantly seeing the development plans we knew this was our wedding venue. I can assure you it does not disappoint. It is truly spectacular and this is all down to Micheal and the Irlam Family. From the second we arrived the staff could not have done anything more for us to make our stay the best. Waking up there on my wedding morning overlooking the lake with the sun rising was just a dream come true. Throughout the day Kirsty ran the behind the scenes and just made our dreams come true. Ken our wedding master or ceremony is also faultless! Just the nicest gentleman who again makes you feel calm and ensures you enjoy every minute of the day. Our day was so special and more than we ever dreamed of and the majority of this really is down to the venue and staff – they make everybody feel at home and are super efficient in everything!
