About

The Setting

Situated on the Embankment in Putney, South West London, The London Rowing Club offers glorious panoramic views of the River Thames with views of Bishops Park just beyond the water. This idyllic, peaceful location is perfect for families and friends to come together to celebrate.

London Rowing Club is a short walk from many public transport links including the Overground, London Underground, multiple TFL Bus Services and The Thames Clipper River Service.

The Vibe

Home to one of London’s oldest rowing clubs founded in 1856, the building has undergone some considerate upgrades and modernisations to retain much of its original charms and period features.

The Long Room has a bright and airy interior and is licensed to hold civil ceremonies for up to 100 guests with a choice of banqueting suites to accommodate more intimate gatherings. This neutral space lends itself to any colour scheme. The room features dual aspect large period style windows, classic portraits, vintage rowing boats suspended from the ceiling, two stunning working fireplaces and three French doors leading onto a 20 metre long balcony.

The balcony is a perfect place to pop a cork and begin celebrating your marriage! As guests mingle and enjoy the views you can slip away to capture some photographs on the picturesque river bank.
