Fawley Hill is the private estate of Sir William and Lady McAlpine in the heart of the English countryside near Henley-on-Thames, just over an hour from London.
Described by Country Life as ‘the most bonkers estate in Britain’, and by Tatler as a ‘temple of wonder’, Fawley Hill is a fabulously unique wedding venue, full of weird and wonderful surprises to make your day stand out.
It is home to a restored Victorian railway station, a full size steam railway, a railway museum, a party field, a magical woodland and 24 species of animal – including beautiful peacocks, wallabies and meerkats.
Use the venue in any way you like to ensure your wedding is as unique as you are. Fawley Hill is offered as a dry hire venue with no corkage and flexibility to use your own suppliers – although of course they have trusted, local recommendations should you need them.
The railway station, museum and woodland are all licensed and they can cater for ceremonies from 75 – 350 people.
The venue suits old-fashioned romantics looking for a vintage-style wedding inspired by the romance of the railway, or bohemian brides dreaming of a laid-back festival wedding surrounded by nature.
