Set in one of the most unspoilt and beautiful valleys in the South of England, Combe enchants everyone who visits.
Combe Manor and its barns are set in the stunning picturesque hills of Combe, and make a perfect wedding venue for couples looking for stunning views amid a picturesque historical rural setting.
The L-shaped position of the two great barns offer very flexible space. They can seat over 150 guests for a marriage ceremony in the barn, however there is also a delightful small Norman church (Grade I Listed) next door to the Manor. This can be used for the wedding ceremony subject to discussion with the local Rector and agreement with the Church of England.
After the formalities, guests can then pass into the dining barn, where they can enjoy a fully served meal shortly afterwards. During the summer months the barn courtyard provides a popular meeting place, where guests may sit down, mingle and enjoy a drink in the sun. The beautiful gardens and courtyards at Combe Manor are available for photographs and in addition, in the case of inclement weather, they offer the formal Drawing Room in the Manor as an additional photographic space for small family groups.
The Bridal Bedroom in the Manor house, with en-suite bathroom, is also at the couple’s disposal for changing before and after the ceremony.

Myself and my husband recently got married at Combe church and then held our reception at Combe Manor Barns. I could not recommend a more idyllic location. With such breath taking views, stunning barn and beautiful facilities. This friendly family run location really ensured that we both had the wedding that we had always dreamt about. Sybille and her family really made our day making sure that everything was taken care of without stressing either of us. I could not have asked for a better setting to get married in, I felt completely at home.
We recently celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary at Combe Manor Barns. It was a perfect occasion, and our friends from all over the country were enchanted by the venue and its beautiful location. The dream-like location and versatile spaces made for a flawless day. We were one hundred adults and about ten children. Because of the configuration of the barns we were confident that, even if the weather had been bad, there would have been plenty of space for pre-lunch drinks and for the children to play. In fact the rain held off and we were able to use the lovely grass courtyard, which made the party even more special.
Combe Manor is just perfect as a wedding venue, but is made complete by the brilliant Sybille. My now husband and I chose the venue for our wedding in June as it really does offer everything and is set up so well. Also very flexible in accommodating personal choices with caterers etc. Sybille was so good with communication in the months leading up, and put her heart and soul into making the day right, special and perfect – little touches like bringing toys into the dressing room for my young nephew to play with whilst my sister and I dressed, was so thoughtful. Whilst it wasn’t asked for, there was a lovely sense of someone ‘holding things together’ in the background, covering those unforeseen occurrences (like light bulbs going!) and allowing you to enjoy the day. Would recommend to anyone looking for a perfect country-chic wedding with city-slick organisation!
We chose Combe Manor for our daughter’s wedding and the whole experience was a delight from start to finish. Sybille was a fully engaged, kind and thoughtful host, reflecting a dedication to ensure every aspect of the reception was beautifully thought through. The beauty of the location was also reflected inside the lovely interior which provided an unusual, warm, intimate setting and the combination of the tapestries lining the wall, the soft lighting and the area for drinks, dancing and dining are a unique and winning formula. All our guests loved it and we could write a book from all the thank you letters that praise the elegant setting. A triumph.
