Brinsop Court Estate, A Showcase Weekend

Written by Emma Hla
Over a spring weekend in March, Brinsop Court Estate held a Showcase Weekend. It was a chance for couples to see Brinsop Court at its best. A chance for you to see what your special day could really be like, and more!

The venue was dressed so beautifully that I asked if I could share a glimpse at their gorgeous house and grounds, so if you didn’t make it to the Showcase Weekend now’s your chance to fall head over heels for this beautiful estate.

Over to Ellie for more…

Notes from Brinsop Court Estate

Ellie says…

The house and grounds were styled and dressed by a handful of some of the wonderful suppliers we work with, for a variety of different wedding scenarios and set ups in different locations around the property and gardens.

If you have ever been to Brinsop Court, you will know how unique and truly special it is, and we are always so proud to show Brinsop Court, just as it is.

Throughout the house, we kept our styling and dressing to a minimum, and not to distract from what Brinsop Court is.

The house was open for all our guests to wonder freely, to get a real feel for the house, a home away from home, with guided tours available from our Wedding and Event coordinators.

Florists

We were so lucky to have an incredible array of wedding florals, designed and created by some truly talented florists who we are lucky to work with on a regular basis; Issy and Bella, The Herefordshire Flower Studio and Twisted Sisters.

Even though we are all very fond of the subtle and neutral wedding pallet here at Brinsop, we wanted to show our bride and grooms that you do not have to be afraid of adding a bit of ‘colour pop’ into their wedding day! So throughout the house and grounds there was a grand selection of pastels and really eye catching and vibrant colour schemes.

Photographers

A photo of Brinsop Court really does speak a thousand words, and at this beautiful setting, there really is the most unique and wonderful photo opportunities. During the weekend we were accompanied by a handful of photographers who have snapped some fabulous weddings here at Brinsop Court; Marta May Photography, Che Birch-Hayes, Rebecca Birch-Hayes and Emma Gardiner Photography.

Cakes

In our bright and elegant Queen Anne Dining Room, a grand display of beautiful wedding cakes (and yummy samples! Very important!) Each individually decorated by some very talented bakers; Mrs Mo Delicio, Applebox Cake Studio, Sharon McGowan, Emily Rose Cakes and Secret Cinderella Cakes.

Caterers

Our very lovely and very talented friends from A2Zest Events were with us during our Showcase Weekend, serving up a great selection of delicious canapés and mini desserts to our guests to give them a taster of what their wedding menu could include.

Their fabulous Front of House and Events Manager was on hand to chat all things foodie and wedding menus with our guests, discussing lots of exciting and creative dishes that could be served during their wedding day!

Guests could wander outside onto the freshly cut lawns surrounded by the glistening moat, with the resident swans gliding along in the spring sunshine.

The most perfect scene, a wedding by the water. An intimate ceremony with a beautifully decorated arch with local wild flowers.

Not only to get married by the water, but to also dine by the water. A simple stretch tent dressed to perfection. Neutral pallets of blush pinks and creams, greenery and candles complimented the surroundings by Issy and Bella Florist, and Bstyled, with soft jazz music in the background setting the scene. Romantic and beautiful.

Inspirational Spaces

In our grand oak parlour, a display of beautiful samples and material from a selection of our favourite suppliers, photographers, hair and makeup artists, florists, music and entertainment and print designers.

The grand wooden panelled Elizabethan Library was dressed for a wedding civil wedding ceremony. A bright, tranquil and elegant setting to say ‘I do’.

Our magnificent candle lit 12th Century Banqueting Hall,  was dressed for a variety of table configurations for a wedding breakfast, with beautiful table flowers designed by Issy and Bella, showing a variety of styles, heights and colour.

The Games Room, our party room, was dressed to show how the evening celebrations could be like with an open bar serving a great selection of local fizz, cider and ales for our guests to try.

The French Bedroom, our simply stunning Bridal Suite, is the perfect getting ready room for the bride and her bridesmaids. Neutral and calming palettes of greys and lilacs surround you, whilst beyond you have stunning views of the moat and surrounding English countryside.

The Courtyard, the heart of Brinsop Court was dressed for an outdoor ceremony, with a beautiful display of wild and colourful flowers created by Twisted Sisters.

Ivy Cottage is where you wake the morning-after-the-night-before. The picturesque honeymoon cottage is situated just up the drive from Brinsop Court. A romantic setting for our bride and groom to spend time together after their wedding day!
