Sussex-based wedding venue, Southend Barns is marking its five-year anniversary with a summer of celebrations.

Couples have been saying ‘I Do’ in the stylish, rustic setting of Southend Barns since it first opened its doors on 24th May 2012. In that time, 50,000 guests have raised their glasses, 25,000 bottles of Champagne have been enjoyed and 40,000 corks have been popped!

On Sunday 7th May from 12-4pm, Southend Barns will combine its five-year anniversary celebrations with a glorious garden party wedding fair. This won’t be your average wedding fair; as well as having a wide selection of handpicked wedding suppliers ranging from photographers and florists to stylists and cake makers, there will also be inspiration tables and a party on the lawn where you can soak up the delights of everything a summer wedding has to offer. This includes live music, lawn games, English fizz and refreshments from in-house caterers Field & Fork.

Entry to the event is free and it is the ideal opportunity to meet with local suppliers and have a peek at the 200-year-old Threshing Barn, the elegant Dairy Barn with its sweeping 22 metre aisle and the luxurious Milking Parlour, which is now a stylish bridal suite.

The Southend Barns wedding team will be on hand throughout the afternoon to share their favourite wedding stories from the last five years and talk through all the possibilities available for a wonderful wedding at this noted venue.

To mark their five-year milestone, former Southend Barns brides and grooms will also be invited to the event to take part in a special anniversary photo and celebration.

In addition to the garden party wedding fair, there will be social media competitions running throughout May and couples will be encouraged to share their favourite wedding moments using the hashtag #southendbarnsmoments for a chance to win wedding surprises.
