A Fresh Spring Palette

Written by Emma Hla
Who else was inspired by the glorious fresh weather the weekend brought us…?

Well I for one certainly was, and with this new found brightness came the urge to capture the essence of Spring in the first Coco Colour Palette…

Spring is a moment of newness, of life, of budding dreams and blossoming friendships, and of an innocence so sweet.

With this in mind, Classic Elegance seems the perfect Coco Style to show off this beautiful season.

For my Spring look I wanted to use a simple colour palette – think stripped back spectrums of fresh whites and crisp greens, delicate florals and intricate, pretty details…

For this inspiration, I’ve called upon the utterly beautiful Lily of the Valley… A luxurious little bell that’s the perfect pick for those Brides looking for a petit bouquet with impact.

This decadent flower has long been the symbol of understated elegance and coveted by glamorous Hollywood icons such Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly. Our very own Princess carried a modest bouquet of Lily of the Valley the day she walked towards her Prince Charming, and if it’s good enough for Kate then it’s good enough for us!

Although be warned this is an expensive little number! But, adorned by the Bride-to-be and worn by the Groom as a delicate boutinniere it’s hard to argue with it’s perfection… Don’t you think…?

Soft botanical greens, greying blues and dusky hues of navy are the perfect pop against these clean tones of white and ivory.

Add modern touches with golden cutlery tied with silk ribbons and dressed with tiny buds. Or keep it pretty with a floral crown made from the palest petals of a single flower, the ultimate in girly simplicity. Oh, and for a true spring has sprung look – why not have your flowers of choice blooming up from your cake for a striking twist to a traditional white tiered delicacy…

So there you have it folks, the first Coco Colour Palette…

The idea behind these pretty and pinnable mood-boards is to kick start the inspiration!

The mood-board will show various elements of a wedding from bridal fashions, to florals, through to the feast and decor.

At the bottom of the mood-board will be the colour palette and the Coco Style it reflects, the rose in this instance symbolising Classic Elegance.

So, once you’ve chosen your perfect Coco Style and your perfect Coco Venue you’ll then be able to find the perfect Coco Colour Palette! Oh and don’t forget to head over to see Amber’s Floral Highlights for your seasonal flower cheat sheets!

I really hope to make this little blog as helpful and as inspirational as possible for those first few steps you take into this beautiful (and sometimes crazy) world of wedding planning…

Lots of love…
