I hope you all had a rather lovely weekend despite the drizzle…? But the rain does lead me nicely onto today’s subject.
We’re kick-starting this week with a focus on one of our favourite locations and we hope you’ll love it just as much as us.
I used to live in Richmond and often frequented The Bingham to celebrate certain milestones. My Dad’s 60th birthday is a very fond memory and a NYE watching fireworks across the River was also pretty spectacular. This intimate hotel has a fabulous bar, seasonal food to-die-for, sumptuous bedrooms with contemporary touches, a riverside garden and even a Wellbeing Spa across the road called Bhuti! Already one of London and Surrey’s leading wedding venues (see all of the above!), The Bingham has now enhanced its offering through the addition of a bespoke fitted terrace canopy. Days may be cloudy or sunny; but the new canopy allows couples and their guests to enjoy the riverside garden whatever the weather, banishing the worries of winter weather what ifs!
Guests can enjoy delicious cocktails in the warmth of the private heated terrace underneath the bespoke awning, come rain or come shine. This terrace canopy is available for all weddings taking place in the months of October to April. For couples outside of these months, the canopy can be hired for a one off fee covering installation and subsequent removal.
With the addition of the new canopy, this chic wedding venue has everything a couple could want to host their own sublime celebration – and it still has New Year’s Eve and Valentine’s Day dates available!
The folks at The Bingham have been busy, because at the same time, Head Chef, Shaunak Singh has launched the new Autumn/Winter Wedding menu. Aside from the breath enhancing views of the river easing its way down the Thames, the award-worthy food is an attraction in itself; Shaunak uses fresh, seasonal ingredients to create vibrant and interesting dishes.

Seared hand dived scallop
roasted pumpkin veloute, potato gnocchi, glazed root vegetables, parsley oil
Creedy carver duck breast
crispy leg croquettes, vanilla and celeriac puree, braised red cabbage, potato fondant, duck sauce
chocolate ganache, white chocolate ice cream
as well as other lip-smacking starter, mains, desserts and sharing cheese boards.
Wedding packages at The Bingham start from £105 per person with Autumn/Winter Exclusive Use starting from £15,000 including use of all fifteen bedrooms. Prices are correct at time of print and are based on minimum guest numbers which vary from package to package, (The Bingham’s actual capacity is from 90-110 guests seated, depending on your choice of seating configuration).
Wedding Open Day
The Bingham, is hosting an exclusive wedding preview from 11am – 4pm on Sunday 8th October 2017, an exciting opportunity for couples to explore the venues offering, meet the friendly in-house team, and gain inspiration for their upcoming nuptials.
They will be showcasing the entire property as it would be for exclusive use, including the restaurant, bar, some of the bedrooms and the garden level event space which will be styled for a celebration. Take a tour, chatter with their team, meet some of their favourite suppliers and enjoy a glass of fizz and a selection of the best canapés you’ll ever taste at a wedding or party.
