Emily Richardson Jewellery is a luxury British brand creating unique modern design with an effortless sense of style… This coupled with the fact that her latest campaign was shot at one of our beautiful wedding venues meant I of course had to share!

So sit back and be inspired by both Emily’s beautiful creations and the gardens at Swanton Morley in Norfolk, it’ll have you bathing in Spring sunshine!

Notes about Emily Richardson Jewellery

Emily Richardson:

Emily draws her inspiration from dramatic icons, fantastical film and literature, theatre and the arts.

Emily has a passion for creating timeless sophisticated treasures. She likes simplicity fused with ultimate attention to unique details. She endeavours to blend creative expression with versatile wearable design, evoking a personal connection with the jewellery’s beauty as well as its narrative.

Emily studied jewellery design at the world famous Central St Martins followed by designing for established brands before launching her own collection. She was selected as winner of International Jeweller Bright Young Gem selected by an elite panel of magazine editors such as Carol Woolton, jewellery editor of Vogue.

The Dali Collection

The Dali collection is inspired by the iconic personality and artist Salvador Dali’s whose surrealist paintings placed emphasis on dreams. ‘Give me two hours a day of activity, and I’ll take the other twenty-two in dreams’ Salvador Dali. Dali provoked a sense of surrealism and mystique, releasing the creative potential of the unconscious mind and crafting an extraordinary imaginary world.

The Dali collection is 18K gold jewellery set with an array of precious stones representing elements from a selection of Dali’s surrealistic paintings and illustrations. Emily chooses to work in rose gold for its soft delicate colour combined with stones such as pink & blue sapphires, grey & white diamonds, pearls & Morganite to create a dreamy feel. Emily also designed in 18K yellow gold for the collection, combined with neutral golden tones of champagne diamonds offering a subtle element of stone embellishment for sophisticated sparkle.

The shoot:

The shoot was held at Swanton Morley House & Gardens in Norfolk which was chosen for its unique variety of ‘garden room’ locations within exquisite grounds.

The glasshouse was used for ‘The Dali Rose’ designs, the enchanted gate and walled area for ‘Dali Cloud’ (teamed with a tall ladder to try and reach the clouds!) The woodland location captured the essence of a Dali scene perfectly and was selected for ‘The Dali Clock’ designs where Emily wanted to capture her model in a dream like state. The last location was the vast meadow which allowed for chasing down ‘The Dali butterfly’ shots. Emily selected a team of creatives to bring the shoots visuals to life including Tori Hancock Photography and Dominka Kroczak Hair & Makeup.

Tim Walker’s photographic images were an inspiration with his surreal, theatrical story telling approach and extravagant staging chimed with Emily’s visualisation.

Emily wanted to take a fresh approach visualising each shot as art to create a story.
