It really is an every day wish to wear something golden or glittery in my hair…

I don’t know where these magpie tendencies come from, but they’re strong. So when I spotted a beautiful new brand on the bridal accessories scene I may have gasped in delight.

By Jodie, an incredible hair and makeup agency, have created their very own hair pieces inspired by the hundreds of brides they’ve worked with. Jodie, the lady behind the brand is stylish, creative and super savvy about what brides are looking for and how hair accessories need to behave as a stylist.

So come and meet their three collections and the stories behind them… There’s also a rather lovely 10% Off for any readers with the code WELOVECOCO.

Notes from By Jodie

Jodie says…

I’m Jodie and I run a Europe wide hair and makeup agency called By Jodie

I saw a huge gap in the market for effortless, light, good quality and well-priced wedding hair accessories designed by professional hair and makeup artists. I wanted to design a collection of accessories that I would want to wear. Pretty, easy, comfortable, understated and chic.

We wanted to create a curated edit of effortless wedding hair accessories for the modern bride and bridesmaids who are stylish but time short. We’ll help you match the right accessory to compliment your wedding dress, venue and styling without you having to trawl the entire internet. Honest, simple and stylish ordering, packaging and shipping.

Our main inspiration are our stylish brides! Having worked on over 500 weddings I wanted to design our 3 collections around the beautiful dresses, wedding details and hair and makeup ideas that our brides show us.

The Le Marais Collection

We were inspired for this collection by our brides getting married in a French Chateaux, faded Italian villas and romantic country gardens. We wanted to encapsulate the cool Parisian girl. She might be wearing an understated Laure de Sagazan or Halfpenny London dress and wants something simple to wear in her hair that highlights but doesn’t eclipse.

We named it after our favourite area in Paris: Le Marais.

The Hampstead Collection

We were inspired by our brides marrying in the English and French countryside or near the ocean surrounded by natural trailing foliage, beautiful greens and natural textures. She might be wearing a whimsical Temperley, Charlie Brear, Naomi Neoh or Charlotte Balbier dress.

We named it after the most beautiful and green of London’s suburbs: Hampstead.

The Havana Collection

This collection is all about the faded vintage glamour of a Spanish style colonial city. We were inspired by our brides having a black tie wedding at golden hour wearing a sparkling Anna Campbell, Jenny Packham or Maggie Sottero dress. We wanted to create a look of understated glamour, using crystals in a vintage style.

There was only city to name it after: Havana.

Prices start at £29.00 for an embellished hair pin, £59.00 for an embellished hair comb and £69.00 for a hair vine. You can browse the shop here.

We also ship worldwide.

It’s been incredibly rewarding to design products that I know our brides will aesthetically love. But also that we engineered to be practical for a hairstylist to work with and comfortable to wear all day.

We’re so proud of our products! It’s also been a complete joy to design and choose the branding, packaging and website details. It’s also a perfect fit to our hair and makeup agency!
