If you click into the Plan section of our website you might notice a brand new addition and partner – we’re really quite excited to be telling you all about The Wedding Gallery!

The Wedding Gallery is the world’s very first department store and it opened earlier this month in the heart of London. This one-stop-shop is located underneath the iconic One Marylebone and is brought to you by a bright team of incredible industry experts.

The Wedding Gallery might already be familiar to you, indeed this exciting new addition to the industry has been splashed across the news recently with Vogue, the BBC, Grazia and all of the leading bridal blogs and publications sharing the news! But if you’re yet to discover the goodness that awaits you then you’re in for a treat today.

I’m sharing all the details about The Wedding Gallery including what to expect and how to book, plus it’s all beautifully illustrated by Emma from Heart Full of Tea.

Notes About The Wedding Gallery

The Wedding Gallery, set to be the epicentre of global wedding planning, is a 20,000 sq ft space underneath One Marylebone which has undergone a multi-million pound refurbishment.

The entrance is at the side of the building and is marked by a striking foliage archway leading you down a few steps to a shiny black door. A black canopy emblazoned with the gorgeous Wedding Gallery logo confirms you’re in the right place.

Step inside and it’s all a bit intriguing… Greeted by a a friendly face at the reception desk, a hidden button is pressed and a secret door opens allowing you access to the Aladdin’s Cave of weddings.

The Mezzanine

Accessed on an appointment-only basis, you will be guided around the space by a Wedding Gallery Consultant. The experience begins on the Mezzanine Floor where the first stop will be the Trends Area, a visual spectacle of up and coming trends created by the world’s leading event stylists. From here visitors will move through perfumery to discover signature collections from leading brands including Jo Malone and Urban Retreat. This gorgeous Beauty Studio isn’t just for a spot of retail shopping as the specialists can also provide a number of services including hair, makeup and cutting-edge treatments for both brides and grooms alike.

Continuing on the Mezzanine you will also discover the Gift List area curated by their partner The Wedding Shop. A jewellery department is bound to catch your eye with glittering glass cabinets full of the most covetable designers including our faves Zoe & Morgan. You can both have bespoke rings created onsite at The Wedding Gallery – that’s pretty special.

By far the most exciting section on the Mezzanine for me is The Library – this is the place where you will find wedding venues, structures (such as marquees and tipis) as well as suppliers like Wedding Planners and Photographers. Each supplier will be represented by a yummy portoflio and of course your Consultant will be on-hand to assist and talk you through those that are the right fit. You might spot some of our fave venues in The Library including Elmore Court, The Pearl Tent Company and Wilderness Reserve.

There are some great spaces on this floor for you to explore and plan, I particularly love the Members Lounge which is all pink velvet sofas, ferns and lush carpet. Plus they have screening rooms where you can explore a suppliers work in more detail by watching show reels and films.

Lower Level

From the Mezzanine you descend a flight of stairs into a world of bridal fashion!

Capsule collections from some of the world’s most renowned designers are are unveiled. Brides can view gowns from the likes of Oscar de la Renta, Ellie Saab, Needle & Thread, Temperley London and Bo & Luca. It doesn’t just stop there though as there’s a vast array of accessories including shoes, veils and headpieces to complete the look! Bridal Lingerie isn’t forgotten either – from the practical to the down-right sexy they’ve thought of everything you might need. I may have been coveting some Olivia von Halle silk PJs.

There is a whole section dedicated to Bridesmaids and we love the curated brands – TH&THMotee Maids and Jenny Yoo. The Mother-of-the-Bride is also catered for making this the perfect girly day out!

If it’s the Groom that needs a little TLC then he can find that in abundance in the decadently designed menswear department. Bringing together the finest tailoring brands such as Gieves & Hawkes, Thom Sweeney and Casley-Hayford, made-to-measure tailoring is mixed with fashion-forward touches to create a modern, directional look for your leading man.

Plus, I did hear sneaky whispers of there being a Whiskey cart for the boys tempted by a tipple – I can’t think of anything more perfect can you? I know my own Groom-to-be would have appreciated this detail.

As well as fashion you will also be able to discover beautiful display after beautiful display of suppliers including cake-makers, florists and stationers. My personal highlights are Hiding in the City, Lamplighter London, Nikki Tibbles-Wild at Heart, ELMO Paper Stories, Cutture and Peboryon.

As your journey around The Wedding Gallery comes to an end, visitors are given a copy of their own personalised ‘Wedding Edit’ of suppliers and information, beautifully presented in a leather bound keepsake booklet.
