Karen: My love of flowers began as a young child walking through country lanes with my grandmother picking a few wild blooms from the hedgerow and placing them in jars for the kitchen table or pressing for keepsakes. I have always loved flowers, nature and the changing seasons.
For 20 years I worked as an event planner organising large scale corporate events for prestigious clients. With my growing interest in event styling and flowers I decided I needed a change in career direction to satisfy my creative needs, finally choosing to walk away from the corporate world in 2003.
I trained as a garden designer and set up an award-winning business designing and project managing a number of prestigious garden projects in Warwickshire and The Cotswolds. The joy for me was not the intricate details in the design process but seeing my visions come to life and the scent and beauty of the flowers and gardens. I was increasingly asked to style their homes for family events and celebrations. This was always a great occasion and my passion for flowers was being rewarded.

In 2008 I expanded the business into wedding and private event styling. I built on my floral skills by attending inspiring workshops and courses focusing on floral design inspired by nature, reading about and researching florists I admired and in 2010 made the conscious decision to focus the business solely on weddings.
In 2010 I was rewarded with a fully booked wedding season and since then have never looked back, expanding the team and working on larger scale weddings across the Midlands and further afield. In 2011 I was thrilled when my daughter Gemma joined the business on a permanent basis helping build Passion for Flowers, as well as setting up our award winning online boutique The Wedding of my Dreams.
We both live and breathe weddings and love inspiring others.

We offer a bespoke floral design and styling service for weddings, beautifully created with flair, passion and attention to detail using flowers of the highest quality. Our team is dedicated, enthusiastic and personable to ensure our couples have the wedding they have always dreamed of.
Our personal service means that after receiving our floral guide our couples’ book into a private consultation with Karen. Prior to the consultation we discuss their style and ideas so we can transform our consultation room into an inspiring display of props and flowers allowing us to explore and develop their ideas further at the meeting. We suggest couples bring along magazine clippings, mood boards, bridesmaids dress fabric or any ideas of the style they are looking for, for both flowers and the overall wedding. This will give us a starting point to build from. If our couples come to us with no set ideas then we have a wealth of knowledge, experience and ideas to guide them.

Consultations are followed up promptly with a lovely proposal and personalised quote which outlines our understanding of their requirement along with prices, detailed names of the flowers we will use and photos of similar work we have created or mocked up for them.
On the wedding day we always set up the venue with our experienced team, not leaving until every last touch is perfectly positioned. Where appropriate we move large arrangements after the ceremony so they can be enjoyed throughout the day. We personally deliver the bridal party flowers up to the bride’s room and love to see our brides on the morning of their wedding.
We love meeting with couples, getting to know them and helping them create the wedding day of their dreams. No two weddings are the same and we love inspiring our couples and build long lasting relationships with them. We are in the fortunate position that couples who choose us really love flowers and want their wedding to reflect their love of flowers.
