Meet Prezola – The Ultimate Wedding Gift List

As well as providing wedding inspiration and good solid advice, I think it’s important you get to know our venues and chosen partners so today, we’re having a little nosey around the new Prezola HQ which is located in the truly beautiful City of Bath.

Prezola is the UK’s leading independent wedding gift list service, designed for modern style-savvy couples who want the widest choice possible. We love their creative heart and knew a little peek inside their office would set the interior-pulse racing! Bath-based Wedding Photographer Emma from Heart Full of Tea popped round to take some snaps for us and it’s all rather lovely.

My husband Dom and I launched Prezola in 2010 from our house and since then, we’ve grown to include more than 30,000 products from 300 top brands on the site. Couples can mix gifts, experiences, charity donations and honeymoon funds on their list with free delivery of their gifts after the wedding. We now have a large office in the centre of Bath with over 50 members of staff – the business has grown so fast in the last seven years!

Our new Prezola HQ is a traditional Georgian townhouse where the windows and ceilings are huge on the ground floor, and get smaller and smaller as you go up the stairs – typical build for when there were servants on the top floor back in the day! As the company has expanded, we needed to move to a larger location since we were all cramped in the warehouse in Wiltshire. We still operate the packing and deliveries from the warehouse (and even expanded into a few more!) but the majority of the company now works in Bath.

We didn’t want to change too much about the building since it carries so much history (and turns out to be listed!) so we’ve kept the chandelier lights along with the old fireplaces in each room. We updated the walls to be light grey with a white trim to make the rooms light and airy. We also added various prints and artwork from the Prezola site to adorn the walls. We also have a ladder shelf in reception which is constantly updated with new products from the site.

We’re constantly adding new brands to the site, and we put so much care and consideration into choosing each of them. We’re really excited to be the official gift list for Soho Home, which is the homewares brand of Soho House. We’re also working with eclectic brand Graham & Green which has so many wonderfully quirky products like monkey lamps and bright furniture. We’ve also just launched my own brand Ali&Co which is a collection of modern rustic items for the more industrial chic couple. It’s proving to be really popular and we’re obsessed with the Bed Spring Memo Board.

My current interior crush…? Well I’m loving the modern Hygge look where light greys meet a splash of colour to keep the style going all year long. Items like this Coastal Sketch Cushion and the Annmarie dinner plate from Biggie Best is definitely on my wish list. I also love the bright piping on these Vancouver cushions from Also Home and their Words of Truth prints are on lots of lists!

Our Top 3 Tips for Starting a Gift List!

• Don’t worry too much about what you think you should have, and more of what you want. There’s not many chances in life where you get your whole wish list for free, and guests are more than happy to help create your newlywed home.
• Cater to budgets. Different guests have different ideas of what they want to spend so make sure you have gifts in the whole price range. Your parents will probably want to splurge on something big whereas your old school friend might only be able to spare £20. Don’t be afraid to go for the big stuff, and people may want to purchase more than one item if it’s affordable.
• If you’re not sure what to add to your gift list, go through our checklist to make sure nothing is missed. Going by each category in the home really helps and remember that this is a chance to reinvent your style as a couple. No more mismatched glasses in the cupboard for you!
