Emma & Seb’s World Inspired Tents Wedding

Written by Emma Hla

Wondering if a woodland wedding is for you…? Would it be a magical fairytale, a rustic shindig or more barefoot bohemian…? Well how about a blend of all three!

This is the vibe of Emma & Seb’s big day set within their very own woods. Taking inspiration from their natural surroundings their wedding is filled to the brim with décor ideas and love. They also had a little bit of help from the fab folks at World Inspired Tents and their awesome tipis.

Shall we…?

Notes from the Bride

Emma:

We own the woods, every day we’re wandering the woods, it’s our life!

Being so close to the woodland has made our appreciation and respect for the natural beauty strengthen. The beautiful wildlife which lives in the 80 acre ancient woodland is where we got our inspiration to have our big day here, so it made sense to keep the woodland /rustic theme to our wedding.

We wanted to make the wedding feel like you are in touch with nature, keeping everything as rustic as possible and to use the natural elements of the wood where we could.

We sourced our stunning tipis from World Inspired Tents which just looked perfect in the woods, like it was meant to be! An enchanted scene, it was like the tipis were made for a woodland setting.

Sebastian my other half is brilliant with wood craft so he made all of our centre pieces and tri-pods which were created for the bridesmaid flowers to sit in. This meant they were recycled!

We wrote our table names on slices of wood and wrapped our napkins individually with cinnamon sticks and some greenery. The tables were all different animals which we have in the woodland.

Signs were made from old pallets and pieces of wood which we had hanging around and our bar was made from scratch, cladded with larch and beautiful oak which had fallen from the winter. The boys wedding boutonnieres were up cycled shot gun cartridges which Seb uses when he goes on the shoot.

We had our wedding at Tanworth in Arden Church which has huge family importance to us, then my Auntie’s Shire Horses & Cart transported us to the wood. The guests travelled in the amazing vintage double decker bus and the bridesmaids were in the baby pink vintage VW!

Seb’s sister sang for us and we had a string quartet during our drinks reception outside. We had a yummy crepe van in the evening. The whole day was amazing start to end!

If you can’t quite make up your mind, then heck have it all!

Emma & Seb’s wedding is a riot of colour and fun and I love their ideas. Especially using the bridesmaid’s flowers as centrepieces! Genius.
