I’m so excited to be bringing our second Coco Editorial home this week and it’s the perfect Valentines treat!

For the La Jolie Mariée styled shoot we channelled the Modern Vintage style category – think soft tones, boudoir peeks, bardot-bunny, nude lace, blush pinks, summer romance, girly notions and a sixties-touch… All tied up in a Parisienne bow! Sounds gorge right…?

I got to work with the fab duo Katrina Otter Weddings & Events and Rebecca Goddard Photography once again, as well as the oh-so-lovely Jade Osborne Photography. But before all is revealed, I want to take you through the initial ideas behind the shoot in our first Coco Colour Palette of the year.

Modern Vintage and the sixties nod seemed the perfect fusion to explore a bit of bridal boudoir, those moments of getting ready the morning of your wedding are glorious. So why not take full advantage…? Especially if your venue has a super sexy bedroom!

Our belle would be all nude lips and nails, flicked eyeliner, undone glamour and bouffant locks. We longed for nude lingerie, mixed with soft creamy-whites, luxurious silk, lace and textured cotton. To add a sophisticated Julie Christie-esque glamour we imagined a high neck dress with diamond drop earrings and a nude pointed-kitten-heel. Our florals were to be soft and luxurious in girly blush pinks and peachy tones. We wanted our Bride to have a little sass, and the idea of driving herself off to meet her beau in a classic car suddenly seemed a necessity. You’ll just have to wait to see that gorgeousness!

We had so much fun designing this Modern Vintage inspiration and you can see all of the ideas behind the shoot on Pinterest here.

The full editorial will be featured tomorrow! But if you can’t quite wait, then why not take a look at our first styled shoot – the Rustic Romance inspired A New Beginning.

So we’ll see you tomorrow then…? I’ll put the bubbles on ice.

Lot’s of love…
