February’s Floral Highlights

It’s been super busy here in Coco HQ which means February certainly seems to have crept up!

However, with a fresh new month ahead, it does mean that it’s time to say hello again to the rather lovely Amber from Amber Persia | Flowers & Events for this months Floral Highlights lowdown…

Each month Amber tells us what’s hot in the world of florals, and you my lovelies can pin the useful and super pretty guide to the seasonal flowers!

So without further ado… Over to Amber.

In February, the hint of Spring is in the air…

Fragrant hyacinths are bountiful in their delicious array of ice cream shades, the wonderfully scented narcissi is a powerful scent to use in a bouquet, the fragrance will carry down the aisle and will, forever more, carry you back to your wedding day… Also, there is a fleeting opportunity to use violets with their distinctive woody floral notes. Sadly this petal comes to an end in February so spoil yourself whilst you can!

Inevitably, February is wrapped up with the romance of Valentines Day, but personally I’d avoid cliched Red Roses – instead opting for alternative shades such as the pillar box red of Anemones or the rich deep red of Amaryllis…

Though these flowers lack scent you can use lush herbs such as Rosemary, Eucalyptus or Mint to add a fresh, warm fragrance foil to these February stars.
