To introduce you to the Brooklyn Bridal collection I thought it would be nice to see how Leanne would style some of our locations using her own products! From looms of luxury ribbons and hand made pom poms, to bamboo parasols and paper fans, this is how Leanne would style three beautiful, unique and rather different wedding venues…

Blue Fizz Tents & Events, Devon

Nothing says boho beats quite like a ‘pop up’ wedding on an untouched part of the coast. We have fallen in love with the charming, traditional marquees on offer at Blue Fizz. They provide the simplest of backdrops against which to inject your own, personal sense of style.

We would style up a Blue Fizz tent with all out brights – shocking pink, aqua and moonstone. Giant, handmade pom poms would add so much fun to this blank canvas. Suspended from the pitched roof by sheer ribbons, they could float in the air at different heights! Adding a scattering of our handmade mini pom poms to the dining tables would further push the boho theme. A mix and match approach using both satin and sheer ribbons would be very eye catching!

This ‘bohemian’ look is very much in keeping with the colourful eclectic vibe at Brooklyn Bridal. We love pairing ribbons in brights and metallics to highlight bouquets, decorate cakes and stationery or suspend from tent poles – anywhere that needs a splash of colour!

Styling the bride comes complimentary of Phoebe Blockley, whose beautiful sashes and hand embellished halo tiara make the perfect boho statement. For a super thoughtful finishing touch, we would gift the bridesmaids our pretty bracelets, in Persian blue, sage or fennel – a beautiful keepsake!

coastal cool / delicious destination

Beach Weddings Bournemouth, Dorset

Beachy weddings, whether destination or by the sea in Blighty, are such fun and you can really go to town with the coastal styling vibe.

We love mirroring the colours of the landscape and our ‘antique white’ shade, coupled with ‘bluebell’, feels just perfect for this theme. Adding natural elements like driftwood and sand inside antique bottles can help to bring the outdoors in. Lanterns look gorgeous everywhere – the more the better – especially as the sun goes down!

A Brooklyn Bridal personalised tote is a lovely, thoughtful gift for guests and can be stuffed with all kinds of delicious treats. We like products from the local area; be it jams, seasalt or speciality snacks, and of course, a bottle of champagne for celebrating!

Everyone loves our handcrafted wooden fans and bamboo parasols – we would style in colour complimentary blue. Pop them on chairs or place together in a basket and let your guests pick one up as they are seated.

Adding a little texture to the canvas with gros grain, rather than traditional satin ribbon could be beautiful. Brooklyn Bridal ribbons can be ordered in reels of 25m or cut to the perfect length for tying- to accentuate rustic slatted deckchairs.

And for the tables – adding pretty napkin pom poms in beachy blue would just help to unify the whole look. Very chic!

Askham Hall, Cumbria

The thing that drew us to this particular venue was the ‘stunning party barn’. It’s a fabulous blank canvas for any creative couple looking to add a rustic, hand-made feel to the day.

Antique stall and thrift stores have some real treasures for weddings – vintage vases and cutlery would work beautifully here. And of course, Auntie’s homemade cake!

The first thing we would suggest for Askham is a bespoke ribbon wall. This would look equally knock out draped from the beams or suspended from both ends to make a ribbon canopy overhead. Add some ivy and the look is pure Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe! Each ribbon wall is completely bespoke and handmade to complement your chosen colour palette.

Fitting with the rustic, country garden theme, our custom made ‘English Rose’ favour bags would make perfect confetti pouches (stuffed with delicate rose petals) for that magical walk from the church, through the secret gardens and onto the barn. We would continue the theme with coordinating ‘English Rose’ name place cards using special ribbons from our archive.

Our hand-loomed English laces have been perfected over three generations and seem so in- keeping with this romantic theme. They would look beautiful tied around cutlery, vases or vintage blooms.

To unify the soft, feminine feel of the day, Phoebe Blockley’s handmade ‘Petal’ sash would be beautiful for the bride and bridemaids alike!
