Coco Wedding Venues… The Big Launch

Huzzah!

Yes it was all very exciting in Coco HQ this week and when we pressed the button, and finally put our little creation out there for all to see, we sat with bated breath for the response…

And boy what a response!

Thank you to all the lovely folks who have sent kind words, congratulatory wishes and virtual high fives!

It means a great deal…

If you are only just discovering Coco let’s have a quick recap…

Coco Wedding Venues is a beautiful style focused wedding venue directory and it was founded earlier this year by me, Emma Hla, with the help of my clever techie husband – Mark Hla.

When I was a newly-engaged gal last year I found the whole wedding venue search a little sad… The wedding venue websites we came across didn’t excite and inspire us. The functionality of these search tools also frustrated me.

Blogs on the other-hand are full of inspiration and there are plenty of beautiful wedding blogs out there! Oh ho yes.

But, there wasn’t one that focused purely on that first step of the journey…

I wanted to merge the functionality of a venue search tool with the stylish wedding inspiration found on my beloved blogs.

So, back in May I doodled the first design for Coco Wedding Venues and here we are!

Shall I show you around…?

Homepage

From the moment you land on the homepage for Coco it looks and feels completely different to other Wedding Venue Directories – think clean, stylish, beautiful and of course relevant to the Bride and Groom of today!

The Directory is very visual – the full width slide showcases six beautiful venues from the Coco Collection. If one takes your fancy simply click through for the write-up or glide down to explore what Coco is all about – the Style Categories.

By clicking on a Style Category such as, Bohemian Beats or Modern Vintage, you can explore all venues which fall into your chosen wedding style, or if you want to get to the nitty gritty choose your location and/or venue types from the drop down bars and start your search!

Simple and pretty… Wouldn’t you agree…?

Venue Finder

The Coco Venue Finder is a bit slick…

Click on the blue buttons to slide down the Location, Style and Venue Type options then simply start selecting…

Your chosen tabs will glow a gorgeous orange and your wedding venue results will automatically filter below.

To deselect, simply tap on the highlighted tab and it will fade back to white, ready for a new search!

The cute venue tiles will show a feature image of the venue and a brief description to draw you in…

Click on the image or the Venue Details button to view the glorious full write-up and image gallery.

If you’re on the go – quickly share the venue using the social media icons or see the venue’s direct contact details.

The Details

Each write up includes details on The Setting and The Vibe giving you an overall impression of the location and the feel of the wedding venue.

The Need to Know facts tell you the important bits of info such as ceremony/reception capacity, facilities and service level.

But here comes my favourite bit… The image galleries.

Click through to a mood-board showcasing useful images of the venue spaces juxtaposed with delicious real-wedding images that you actually want to see!

Weddings that are full of love, warmth and inspiration, hinting at current wedding trends and style.

All images have been credited so if you fall in love with a photo you can possibly discover your wedding Photographer to boot!

There are lots of other super elements to Coco Wedding Venues directory, including the ability to contact the venue directly (whilst saving your message for other venues that may take your fancy!), to useful search tips for the newly-engaged and of course this blog which will become a forum for inspiration posts, venue features and real wedding stories!
